Thread: Modern Warfare 2: Game of the Year

The voices and sound effects sound exactly like Command and Conquer Generals.

Looking forward to this game.

Waow that's gonna be annoying.

There are always marginally annoying things in video games, like unfair guns or bad map design, but this is absolutely ridiculous. The guy in the video kills 14 people with his apache helicopter within 35 seconds. How is he doing that? Simple, the helicopter has wall-hacks and it instantly kills anybody its cannon is pointed at.

I was gonna pick this game up but maybe I'll just get COD4M1...I'm not sure what version I played at the internet cafe but it was fun as hell.

I'm gonna buy this soon, along with uncharted 2 and Assasin's Creed 2 :p

Is it me or is modern warfare 2 not as good as 4. It seems to me its more for people who dont know how to play. You can pwn as long as you just random shoot. I dont get it. It pisses me off. In 4 i could get helicopter nearly every match. In this i can barely ever get a predator misstle. The maps to me just seemed kinda F&**ed up. Theres a thousand ways to one area. And your teammates never help out. I do think 4 is better online. But i do love spec ops. But my question to anyone who reads this is. What do you think of MW2 Online?

I think MW2 is better than CoD4 online, when it comes to just having fun with a few friends. However, CoD4 is better for clan matches and the maps are definitely better too.

Ya i wasnt sure where to put this. But ya, i was better at 4. And your right, if you want to play with your friends mw2 is proably better. But only because there are 50 different ways to get into each area. It needs to be evened up. And the spawning. OMFG. i hate the fucking spawning.

well i haven't played cod4 multiplayer, but i would say MW2 is definitely a well-made game and a lot of fun. I dont find it that addictive though its too realistic for me. I prefer FPS games that have physics that make it more fun, like quake had bunnyhoping where you could go faster and faster by jumping. I've only played MW2 about 3 hours total according to STEAM, whereas i've played TF2 for 932 hours total. I dunno, theres just something about MW2 that puts me off.. its too serious if you know what i mean.

Both are pretty low tier as far as I'm concerned. On par with Wii games.
