SOAD- Innervision -about meditation, maybe the Pineal Gland

Dreams of Swedenborg. Covers quite a few things from lucid dreaming to astral projection, although not very deep. Supposedly based off the writings of some guy I've only heard referred to as Swedenborg.
Silent Lucidity by Queensryche. This one, I think, is much deeper into lucid dreaming. Although more often than not, people interpret it as a love song or even a suicide song.
I love songs about this sort of thing. BRACE FOR IMPACT!!
Evanescence - Imaginary - Song about a girl who wants to stay in her dream world forever because she hates the real world. The lyrics are amazing.

Epica - Unleashed - One of my favourite songs, so powerful. About how, after death, achieving ultimate power with no morale. Even the whole album - Design Your Universe - focuses on the power of the mind.

Jakalope - Bad Dream - Song that describes what the fuck's going on in a bad dream, pretty straight forward.

Jakalope - Come On - Beautiful song, I'm pretty sure it's about inviting other people into your dreams or something. I reccomend the entire album - It Dreams - as it's meant to give the dream feeling from the first song to the last.

I've got heaps of songs that make you FEEL like you're in a dream world, but they aren't related to dreams at all. If you want them, I'll send you the list :)
thanks for your replies, the songs were very interesting. I also would kind of like trance inducing songs similar to this one, but I cant stand this guy's voice in most songs. I dont know what it is, but it is the same thing I hate about creed and metalica's singers

My bandwidth is slow, so I'll have to listen to that later. <.<
Hmm, trance songs. I find Lustmord very interesting while I'm writing, it provides excellent background music, and it's slow and such, but it's rumoured to induce nightmares through binural sounds. I'm actually trying to find something that does the opposite, giving you good dreams, rather than fucked up, horrifying ones.
I would recommend....
Colourpulse (Does ambient music, I only have two songs, though. I guess they could be like Pink Floyd but without the lyrics?
God is An Astronaut - All is Violent, All is Bright is an amazing album - They do spacey songs, ones that go well with movies like Titan A.E and 2001: Space Oddysey.
There's also a song called Reflections of Suspension by Steve Roach. It goes for 17 minutes, and many people have thought of many different beautiful things while listening too it.
well i cant believe no one has put this one up. mostly because of the title.

lucid dreams by franz ferdinand
mine have a metaphysical/mystical feel to them, though i'm not sure if the ones with lyrics really are about, and/or were inspired by, lucid dreaming... but here they are:
Ink - John's Walk
Aphex Twin - Rhubarb
Aphex Twin - Stone in Focus
Aphex Twin - Nannou
[:SITD:] - Displaced
Leandra - Metamorphine
Angelzoom - Fairyland
De/Vision - Summer Sun
VNV Nation - Arclight
i think i need to stop there, though lol.
i loved that second one
I absolutely love meditating to this and it works to usher me into some very vivid Lucids because i concentrate on the voice in the background.
MemtoMori - This or the Apocalypse
LOL @ sil3nt's avatar.. good work thats truly genius.
about half of what was posted before me i listen to, but what i mostly listen to is electronic, ambient and all their sub-genres (too many to list lol).
VNV Nation, Absurd Minds, Mind.In.A.Box, De/vision, Aphex Twin, Icon of Coil, Seabound, Deathstars, Neuroticfish, Assemblage 23, Regina Skeptor, Garbage, The Dresden Dolls, and many others.
i'm sure that you would love Mind.In.A.Box or Seabound if you like VNV Nation
you ever listened to Stone in Focus? that song just gives you a sense of divinity.
