It's like it's hilarious and distrubing at the same time... I just don't know what to think of it.

At times it's just so incredibly disgusting. I don't even have the heart to describe it ;) a lot of necrophilia in it though. And... uh... riga mortis or whatever >_>

I saw Solyaris a few years ago and didn't like it much either. Maybe I should give it another try sometime sometime, or perhaps I'll find Stalker first next time I check out Tarkovsky though. This isn't the first time I've heard its much better.

Also, I just gave my roommate a copy of Mulholland Drive. He's watching it right now for the first time :D.

Andrei Rublev and Stalker are both mindblowing. Andrei Rublev might not be anything weird or bizarre but it's definitely one of the most beautiful and amazing movies I've seen. Stalker is just plain awesome mindfuckery.
