LARPing Times

So I am going to Darkon within the month. I've contacted one of Darkon's 'elders' (staff) and have constructed multiple weapons. I am shipping out for the tools to make some pipe bone armor and am ready to kick some hindquarters.

My question is this- anyone live in the DC/Virginia/Maryland area that would like to participate in the longest running of the largest LARPs in North America, too? It shall be fantastic. I'll tell ya'll a little more about my character when I finally decide between the two personas I want to play as.

I've never been into D&D-type games but LARPing seems like fun.
