It would be better if you recorded it and showed it to us |

Is anyone going to watch it? |

So does that mean if you were watching him predict the numbers you could get a lottery ticket yourself with the same numbers and win? |
|
He is going to predict them literally seconds before the draw from what I gather. I think there is a cut off time before the draw so its impossible for someone to use his numbers. |

why is there a brick wall behind him in that photo? doesn't look like the set for where the numbers are drawn looks more like he did this at his house or something. |
|
That is because the lottery is shown on the BBC network and Derren works for Channel Four. |

My guess would be that he used a time-honoured betting scam called "Past Posting". The numbers had already been drawn before he "predicted" them. Not too difficult to do, either, as there is no such thing as truly "Live TV". There is always a delay between the event happening and the TV reception thereof. |

Most TV delays are 7 seconds, which I don't believe is quite long enough to set that up. (Did you watch the youtube vid?) The prediction was made earlier in the day, so his numbers were beside him before the lottery even began showing. Beyond that, he specifically stated that the BBC does not delay the lottery at all. It is broadcast to the second. I don't know how true the statement is, but maybe it's something you want to look up before settling on that guess. |

There is obviously some trick to it, no one could predict the exact numbers otherwise he would be doing the lottery every week - and winning every week. |
|
Well, he did it, he got it right. And we find out how the hell he did it tomorrow. |

His trick had nothing to do with computer simulation of any kind, I am sure of that. |

Yeah, and then he would have the world government list him as a global threat, would have him taken into custody, and he would be a guinea pig for the rest of his natural life, until they found out exactly how it was that he had that "power." |

It is more probable for a new sequence to be chosen than one that has already been picked. if he had enough information, he could start ruling out some sequences and try to guess the next one. That's probably not what he did, though. |
|
I don't know. I just don't see how that's possible. The lottery has only run for so many years, and he is only so many years old. How many different combinations can come out of a 6-digit sequence of 50 possible numbers? How feasible is predicting the next set of numbers, to a T? |
