Wtf? The matchmaking system is horrid! It's impossible to play with friends unless you are willing to spend 30+ minutes rebooting your system to hope that you get into the same queue. And PvP is an absolute joke. If 1.05 would be released already it might be better, but at the moment PvP is completely broken.
Still a good game though. Game of the Year in my book, but that isn't saying much. It started off absolutely amazing, but kind of started going down hill after you ring the second bell. And sadly the final boss and the ending sequence were terrible. The final boss would have been a great first form, but I was thoroughly disappointed when there wasn't a 2nd form.
And the difficulty level was nice, but not nearly as difficulty as they had it hyped up to be. I was expecting(and hoping for) it to be a lot worse. It made me really want to play Demon Souls, but I don't want to plop down $300 for a ps3.


I'm currently playing Castlevania: Curse of Darkness for PS2. My friend had already beaten it so I was able to start on Crazy Difficulty. It started out at least twice as hard as Dark Souls, but now I've gotten pretty overpowered and it's probably equally as easy as Dark Souls was.

I plan on picking up God of War soon. And I'm also considering starting an Expert game on Kingdom Hearts, and Star Ocean 3. Dunno which one of those I'll tackle first, hopefully they are able to provide a challenge. (I'm on a PS2 binge if you can't tell ).

If anybody knows of any difficult Platformer/Action/RPGs for PS2 lemme know. I recently realized how much better last gen single player games were, so I've been on the look out for good PS2 games.

Demons Souls Online was WAYYYYY BETTER! There were no covenants and you could invade infinitely from the beginning. Everything about demons souls online was better I'd say. I guess I was talking more of the concept of invading and summoning more on the actual 'takes forever to work' thing.

Speaking of which, Demons Souls was way worse though. ANNND, patch 1.05 was released... wonder were you've been off too...

Try mother 3, same tactical, turn based gameplay, but with an awesome story. Forgot to add it to my list of games I'm playing.

Pokemon isn't THAT childish. Plus, it's something everyone knows and loves anyway.

I was playing Glitch before I skipped town for a while, and while at my mom's place last week, pulled out Alpha Centauri a couple times.

I'm currently playing Dead Island, Crysys 2, Split second, Rage and Skyrim. I play them in short bursts, that way each game seems longer Otherwise I won't get up until I finish the game

Kids these days with their fancy 3D graphics.

Right now I'm playing Alex Kidd in Miracle World, an 8-bit game that was released before I was even born. It was the very first game I ever played, and is still one of my favourite games of all time.

I can't find any trailers for this game, only a commercial in Japanese. There are some walkthrough and speedrun videos though, but none of them are good. Maybe I should record something myself, in case anyone is interested.

Last week I played through the Anno 1404 campaign in about two days. I'm still playing some of the missions.

Just started a run through of Bioshock with the "Balance and Difficulty" mod. Hopefully it's actually difficult now. I'm also about to start a Doom3 run on Nightmare. Sounds hellish, but I must do it!

I got a Diablo 3 beta invite last week, and so far it's underwhelming. I assume they'll have more content when it actually releases, but the beta game can be beat in 2-3 hours solo, and maybe 45 minutes co-op. You have persistent characters and gear, but all you can do with them is play the same sparse content over and over, which gets a little ridiculous as you level up and can one-shot-kill three zeds at a time. I can't help but feel like I must be missing something, because as it stands, the game is a joke.

Currently playing Assassin's creed bloodlines.

BF 3 and Skyrim.

Actually, I forgot about it.

But I would think that you need to make a distinction between the 'last video game we played' (which kind of implies completion), and what games we're playing now, which seems to be the focus of these (this) threads.

Hmm, completion was not my intent in that thread, particularly given that many games do not complete, and no one seemed to take it that way. I was really just mimicking the movie thread.

Currently playing Phantasy Star Portable 2.

So much Osu! Does anyone else play? I'm good at taiko mode (and taiko no tatsujin games in general I guess) but pretty bad at standard and catch the beat. It would be cool to get a match going one day, maybe.

I'm currently playing Mirror's Edge. It's kind of neat, but it doesn't have the freedom I have grown accustomed to in exploration based games.

I'm still trying to find time and a partner for Portal 2 Co-op.

I'm laying Uncharted 3. When I finish my share of the online and whatnot, right back to Dark Souls.
