The last game I played was Spirit for Android, which is pretty cool--kind of a trippy, updated Space Invaders.
I've also been playing Battle for Wesnoth a bit. It's an open-source, turn-based strategy game, with tons of different D&D style units and a load of campaigns. The stories and dialogue are quite decent, better than a lot of professionally made games. You can tell it's a labor of love.
Other than that, I've been leveling a new wanderer in Fallout: New Vegas. Still awesome.
All platforms are fair game: no snobbery.
This seems like it could turn into a good thread. :)
My neice and nephew were staying at our house for a couple days so me and my nephew played Portal 2 splitscreen before he left. Its a fantastic game and I always lookforward to a chance to play the multiplayer with someone.
Other games I was played with him while he was here was Minecraft which is still great and I gave him a lesson in restone circuitry, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which he played himself for most of the time while I helped him and we played Crash Bandicoot 4 with my dad. We have beat every Crash game a hundered times over and it is still one of my favorite games.
Oh god I just finished Lara Croft: Tomb Raider Anniversary and hot damn it took forever to beat that game. The last chapter was completely unpredictable in a bad way. Switching back to Fps.
Currently playing through System Shock 2. This game is awesome. Survival horror, RPG, FPS all of my favorite genres packed into one.
Dragon Age 2. I like the rich setting and atmosphere in the series. Also sound acting and character dialogies are very, very good and entertaining. Reminds me of BG ages back.
I recommend the whole series for all who like RPG and somehow hasn't played yet :)
Besides, while the game has its own fantasy setting, it reflects many problems in our world in forms of religion, oppression and such.
Last game I finished was Dead to Rights: Retribution (PS3). The action is extremely intense, and the game gets pretty challenging, which I like. They pretty much improved on the first, on all points. I could have used a little more variety in the disarms and finishing moves, but they were always fun to watch. :>
Also, I'm periodically playing Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (PS3), which is just an all-around great racer.
From Dust and Torchlight are my current games.
From Dust is awesome, except for the stupid U-Play DRM. I couldn't play the game at first because it wasn't seeing my connection. The game play is very reminsicent of Populous, except it's more materialistic. You manipulate the world. The physics are so cool though. I was damming up a river that was fed by a waterfall. Because I was using soil, the dam eventually broke when the lake that formed became too big.
Torchlight is Diablo. It's such an awesome throwback that I am buying Torchlight 2 out of principle.
I haven't heard from From Dust before. I do remember Populous.. ah the good times. I think I have a look, thanks TheKing :)
To save you, and anyone else who is interested time, here is the link: From Dust on Steam
Thanks to Steam, I have over 200 games on my computer, but now, I am also not buying games new until they are much cheaper. Deus Ex, for example, looks amazing, and I loved the first two, but $60 is WAY too much.
From Dust looks good. A combination of B&W and Populous. Many seem to complain that the current patch is buggy though?
The last new (to me) game I've played was Hexen (N64 port) which I bought a couple days ago. Pretty neat so far.
I've been playing Diablo 2 again lately. That game's as old as WoW or older, and has only had 1 expansion, but it's still great as MMORPG's go. The structure is a little different from most, which is interesting. Plus it's free to play :)
In think the camera is annoying, otherwise no bugs found myself. I don't know what bugs others claimed to found. But camera is only thing that iirritates me, it moves on its own when I don't want it to. It takes it time to go in its place. Otherwise interesting game, especially the physic mechanics and graphics.
The last game I played was DOOM. But not the original doom, it was online! And it was a mod. I was playing ZDOOM wars which is pretty cool. You get to pick a faction from the ID series (Doomguy, Corvus, Daedolon, Strifeguy, Chexguy, and C375) and then you spawn armies to fight other players. Last Man Standing wins.
Here's a video to give you an example (it's 31 minutes though, I couldn't find a better video)

The absolute worst part is that the camera will focus on things while the game runs. I had that happen while my village was on fire. It was less than a minute clip, but the fire took out the village. Also, some things work very weirdly. Like dirt will spawn back after you clear it off rock or water trees will explode before the fire starts.
We have a "what are you reading," "what are you watching" and a "what are you listening to" thread, so why not a "what are you playing" thread? I don't see it in the similar threads box, so sorry if this is a duplicate! Post a synopsis of the game or a trailer, or just the title of the game.
Anyway, I'm playing a bunch of touhou games and a visual novel for the PC called Ever17. It's about a group of people who are trapped in an under water theme park, and they have to try to survive until help comes. It's really suspenseful and has an awesome and complicated story.
So what is everyone else on DV playing?
Terrific idea. I am currently playing nothing :c but I am making a game for facebook c:
Tomb Raider - Anniversary and quite a lot of Left 4 Dead 2. If anyone else plays the latter, feel free to add me to Steam. My screen name is Dianeva. I play both campaign and versus, I have a mic and I'm fairly good. But I play for fun, mostly friends-only games. I can't stand people who try to tell everyone else what to do the entire game and get pissed off at someone for making a mistake. When someone starts doing that I can't concentrate and just leave, so don't add me if you're like that.
It really is a good game. On the surface it might seem a bit repetitive (and I hate repetitive games) but it isn't. There's enough variation to keep it fun no matter how much you play. It can be taken seriously or just played for fun, and can be pretty social when you're playing with a game full of people with mics. Sorry if this is too much 'advertizing' for this thread. It also seems to me that people who play L4D2 are more mature than most gamers, the ones on my friends-list at least.
These guys are pretty entertaining to watch play.

I also play Minecraft, although I haven't been for the last few days since I used to play with my bf and don't really have anyone to play with now.
I've been swapping between Skyward Sword and Sanctum, both excellent games well worth my time.

People can be picky about their MMORPGs but this is my favorite so far. That trailer doesn't represent the gameplay at all though.
Oh I'll add that there isn't a good line of communication between the fans and the game devs so it can be frustrating when you want them to do something and they don't listen.
Yes, I actually just went in it for the first time a couple nights ago. I might try going back and starting my own house there, but it's really difficult. There are just too many people there. I wandered the map for a long time and couldn't find any really good locations that weren't already taken. And it's so big I feel like I've just entered a world that's already inhabited. I like starting from scratch and feeling like the world is my own, and I don't get that with a huge populated server.
Dark Souls, Put 70 hours in 2 weeks O:
The online is perfect, one of the best in any video game of all time, its very difficult, And I posted videos and music and screenshots in the 'Post video game screenshots, videos, etc here thread'. So here I'll post only the first cutscene. See the other thread if you want to see more.
The beginning of this is boring but it gets better
