I think Hot Fuzz is hilarious. You really have to pay attention to it, though. A lot of the humor is really low-key - almost hidden; that sort of slick, unstressed English humor. It's great, though.

      And yeah.....Showgirls....*shudders*. Lol.
Funny how I don't remember a damn thing about that movie, aside from how shitty it was. Rofl.

You're going to love Children of Men.

Oh, and I finished Casino Royale. Awesome movie. Better than I thought it would be, actually.
Also Smokin Aces. It was alright. Definitely entertaining, but really didn't seem to try to be anything more than that, anyway.

And I'm going to watch Blood Diamond a little later today.

Pirates 3, long and some parts are confusing, other then that I enjoyed it, maybe 7.5.

      I love that movie!

I saw Pan's Labrunth last night. What a depressing show. I was a little sad when the girl died at the end.

      worst movie ever

the last movie i saw in theatres was 300 and it was absolutely terrible. the characters, the plot, the development, the needless nudity, everything about it sucked. I was watching it and the entire time i was just thinking "this is the fakest, cheesiest bullshit i've ever had to endure."

I just finished "Pan's Labrynth" and while I enjoyed it, it was different than what I expected. Correction: I didn't know what to expect, so I guess that just makes it different. I really liked the story and the characters, but I wish I was more fluent in Spanish so I could have focused less on both trying to understand it and read the subtitles. Some of the scenes made me turn my head, though. I don't do well with torture. *shudder*

I also saw "Shrek the Third." Enjoyable Nothing that super-mega fantastic about it, but it was a good comedy.

And I saw "Pirates 3" as well. I really enjoyed it and hope to see it again this weekend when I have someone paying for me.

Tons of superstars in this film. A good organized crime movie. I'd watch it again.

I saw "Lucky Number Slevin" last night, then dreamed an alternate ending for it. (A bad ending instead of good; I think talking about liking bad endings made that happen.) It was an enjoyable movie, but when it's over you realize it didn't make any sense. So many things were done just to throw the audience off, and way too many coincidences.

Night before that I saw "Island", about the clone factory. Not bad, but way too many car chases and crashes and special effects. They could have cut the time in half and not hurt the story by getting rid of some of that stuff.

(Still haven't watched Children of Men! Our copy didn't work--dammit I'll have to wait for it come again now.)

      Deja vu

Good movie! I don't think I'd enjoy it quite as much after watching it the first time, but it really was a good movie. Fun to analyze while watching, actually, and good for some discussion afterwards.
