I finally experienced Inland Empire. Why the hell haven't I watched this before? (tbh I think I was afraid it would ruin David Lynch for me - I had heard some pretty bad things about it) |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

^ Well I really want to watch that now. |

“Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today.”- James Dean.
Lol just keep in mind if you do - don't try to make sense of it - just enjoy it the way you would a dream. In fact keep telling yourself that - "It's only a dream.. " |

I made the mistake of watching mulholland drive as if it had some kind of clue and there were logical explanations for everything. I watched it with my sister and I can remember our frustration when it ended, we were like: "What the hell? Is this the ending? But we don't get it yet!" Started looking for explanations on the internet but couldn't find anything....! I watched it a second time and loved it. |

Last night I watched City Lights, a Charlie Chaplin film. It was so sweet, and the ending was so wonderful. |

And what exactly is a dream? And what exactly is a joke?- "Jugband Blues" by Pink Floyd
I don't think I'm easy to talk about. I've got a very irregular head. And I'm not anything that you think I am anyway. - Syd Barrett

I just saw Warhorse last week. It was incredible. I have nothing else to say. |

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.
-Edgar Allan Poe
Colombiana - garbage, almost as unbelievable as ghost protocol. |

Insidious- Not usually a fan of horror/thrillers movies, but it was dreaming related and also was kind of an action film so I liked it |

They say dreaming is dead, no one does it anymore.
It's not dead it's just that it's been forgotten, removed from our language.
Nobody teaches it so nobody knows it exists.
The dreamer is banished to obscurity.
Well, I'm trying to change all that, and I hope you are too.
By dreaming, every day.
These weeks I haven't watched many movies, 1 and half weeks ago I watched 5 movies on vhs during one night. They were (in this order): |

I just finished watching "The Fountain" and I have to say, it is now my #1 favorite movie. 10/10. |

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
Warrior - About a couple of guys in a "sparta" UFC tournament. It was really quite good but there were a few too many incredibly lame scenes, which just kind've ruined the whole movie in a way. Even though the rest of it was good. Some bits also just were empty as fuck coz they tried to wrap it up in under 2 hours, which seems to be happening a lot these days. |
|
Also just finished watching "Mr. Nobody". That movie is ten times more confusing than inception. It's in that same category as "The Fountain" not nearly as good though. And did I mention it's incredibly confusing? |

I was planning on seeing Contraband with my BF, but we weren't allowed in unless we were with someone over 18. Ugh. |

I'm watching Never Let Me Go right as we speak haha. But to me.. it's not having as much as an effect. I finished the book about a week ago so it's all so fresh in my mind that I'm picking out all the differences. It's certainly a good adaptation though, could have been a lot worse. They got the three main characters spot on. |

I didn't like it until the end. I never read the book though so I didn't get the point. Then near the end after the one scene ("There are no deferrals") it struck home and I was like BLARG SADFACE |

Hanna - Not bad. Pretty interestingly shot, with some pretty good action. The exposition was a little awkward, at times, but it was enjoyable. |

I'm watching immortals right now, though I stopped to fawn over athena. It's the same chick that tried to kill shia lebouf in transformers 2. That gives her bonus points right off the bat (she'd get extra if she succeeded, then again when you're at maximum hotness what do these bonus points matter anyway?) |
