Delph, are you talking about the remake of dawn of the Dead? See the original if you haven't already, it's waaaay better. Land of the Dead was pretty good. It's one of those movies that's fun to watch super late at night with some friends. Great special effects by Tom Savini.

      EDIT: Oneironaut, haha good stuff.

      Loved it.

I seriously wanted to punch Jack Nicholson's character in the face. Haha. Even though I knew some things didn't add up, the twist ending got me.

      Watchmen

I liked the plot, I loved the characters, I loved the fights and special effects, but there was too much stuff in there that doesn't jive with me. According to a friend it was pretty much parallel with the graphic novel, so I probably won't be reading that, either. However, it was a good movie overall. I just wished I had rented it or watched it online so that I could skip past the *cough* stuff.

You could smell the hormones emminating off of the high schoolers in the theater, though. Pfew!

      Holy glowing blue genitalia!

Watchmen was freaking awesome, and about 90% accurate to the comic book. The few things they moved or changed were very well done, and I loved it. Definitely one of my favorite movies.

Am I the only one who hated Hancock?

Anyways, I watched Syriana tonight and I almost died of boredom. The night before I watched Body of Lies for the second time and it was awesome. Roger Ferris is B.A.

Nah. Apparently, a lot of people hated it. I liked it, though. It did leave me a bit unfulfilled, because I want to know so much more about Hancock and Mary (still holding out hope for a prequel!), but I thought it was entertaining.

I watched Idiocracy, Napoleon Dynamite, and the first half of Clerks II, last night.

Idiocracy was pretty hilarious (though I'm not a huge fan of the Wilson brothers). Napoleon Dynamite had its good moments, but wasn't really anywhere near as funny as everyone's made it out to be. Clerks II was ridiculously funny, so far (I loved the Star Wars vs. LotR trilogy argument), and I was pleasantly surprised to see that Rosario Dawson was in it () and she was awesome.

Escape to Witch Mountain - as in the original.

Man, that was a good movie! Haven't seen it since I was six or seven and we laughed quite a bit. Go rent it. Now. I plan on forgetting everything about it if/when I watch "Race to Witch Mountain."

Slumdog millionaire, which was great and refreshingly normal for me. But the night before I saw Watchmen, and I liked it better I must say!

Hancock wasn't very good, in my opinion (a bit contrived), but escape to witch mountain was okay in a really "classic movie" way. Still waiting to see Watchmen.

Last movie I saw was Saw II. I enjoyed trying to find ways to escape the traps without having to resort to the most gruesome option. Not as bad as I expected from the combined reviews of the movie's detractors and fans. I really liked some of how the film was written (character depth was a lot deeper than most psycho thrillers), and the end...
      Spoiler for spoilers:
I think I like that film.

Don't get me wrong; it was - by no means - a "good movie", but it had enough redeeming factors to make it enjoyable to watch (to me).

Saw II was actually one of the last movies I watched (It was on basic cable the other night. Sci-Fi I think?? It's actually pretty good. I was never drawn to the Saw series, but this one has me more than interested. I always seem to catch Saw 1 right at the very end. I'd like to see the whole series, though.

What else...I also saw The Mask again.

And...seriously....how hot is Cameron Diaz in that movie??? (skip to 3:20)

And Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. Easily the best of the trilogy. Pretty damn awesome. I almost wept for Lucian, when Sonja died.

      Haha.

Yeah. The first one is actually one of my favorite (if not my favorite) of the Marvel superhero movies. So far ahead of its time.

Part 2 was good, but didn't keep up with the first. Part 3....eh...well...let's just forget that one even came out.

Last movie I saw was The Unborn.

It wasn't what I thought it would be. I thought it would be a good horror movie. Turned out to be really crap and boring it didn't scare me once.

Next movie I want to see is Slumdog millionaire, I've heard good reviews about it.

I think it was actually better in the beginning but got a bit worse during the end, because they didn't really deliver on the serious epic-battle-ness.

Maybe a 60/100, overall, adjusting for "just pure fun" factor, though I'll save a real scoring until after I've seen a better-than-cam version.
And just got done watching Lakeview Terrace.

Much better than I expected, even though I had pretty good expectations. Some parts were pretty predictable, but it was always entertaining. Sam L. played a great villain, and his character seemed so natural and believable. I loved the three-way chemistry between him, 'Chris' and 'Lisa'. They all did a great job.

      Transporter 3.

I always hate the Transporter characters. The Transporter himself (Frank) I'm alright with. The other characters are so shallow, and don't have much about them in the movies. They just come off as unimportant, and annoying. (Especially the women.)

Overall... The first was still the best. This one might have beaten out the second one.

No... Just, no... Childrens movie for a reason, I thought it might be half decent, at least somewhat memorable to the first "Air Bud" but no... Just, no...
