I was underwhelmed by T:S, but I wasn't much a fan of the first two, either. I'd rate the tv series above any of the films.

I watched Hardware (a.k.a. MARK 13, released in 1990) this weekend, based on a random interweb recommendation. Not something I would rave about too much, but definitely worth watching for anyone who enjoys quirkily bad 80s/90s sci-fi like Cherry 2000. It had kind of a Harlan Ellison dirty surrealism to it.

Lords of Dogtown... fucking great movie, Heath Ledger was awesome as was Emile Hirsh (spelling?)

Funny People... not so good. Jokes were flat, couldn't really getting into the dramatic side of it.

Yeah for going back and watching movies from your childhood!

Watched Sidekicks while grading tests last nights. Ah, Chuck Norris and a hallucinating high schooler Throw in Mako and you have one wonderfully over-done movie! Ah, good times.

And before that, I watched Return to Oz. Talk about weird. I haven't read the book (only just read "The Wizard of Oz"), so I can't say if it follows along, but if it does, Baum had a crazy world inside of his head. Seriously! Little girl's psychosis to be cured by shady shock therapy... then goes to Oz? Wow. Still "fun" and "interesting" if you don't expect anything from it.

(Note: The miniseries "Tin Man" is 6 hours of win!)

I've watched all the Star Wars prequels and A New Hope in the last few days, after seeing all the episodes of The Clone Wars so far. The only prequel I'd seen previously all the way through was The Phantom Menace, which I didn't like at the time, but I liked it quite a bit this time, even Jar-Jar.

Taking all the movies and The Clone Wars together, it really does make quite an epic story, though I still refuse to read Star Wars novels

12 Angry Men. Jurors deliberating the verdict of a murder case. Doesn't sound terribly interesting, but it's engrossing and fascinating. The acting all around is excellent and the film makes you think long after it's over. It might change your perspective of receiving jury summons in the future, but if not, it'll at least let you see the process differently. 8/10

I love how Goku single-handedly takes out all the henchmen, after the rest of the Z Fighters get wrecked by them.

Yeah, that's how it usually goes.

It's actually called DBZ: The tree of might, I messed up. It's a great nostalgic movie, the only problem is that my favorite character Vegeta isn't in it.

Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love. A totally random find, this movie was apparently released on the festival circuit in 1996 and didn't make a huge impact. Set at an indeterminate time in pre-colonial India, it's about two girlhood friends/rivals who more or less take turns ruining each other's lives while sorting out what they really want from sex/romance and their relationship with each other. It's all handled in a very candid way, and several times in the course of events both ladies (and the two male leads) take off their clothes

It stars Indira Varma--who's done a slew of TV, but I know her as Niobe in HBO's Rome--and Naveen Andrews from Lost. I started the movie expecting it to be pretty intolerable except for bewbs, and was happily surprised.

Just saw Chocolat for the first time

It was strangely inspiring lol, although i thought it ended a little strangely, felt a bit unfinished
When I was in high school I was very ambitious, I wanted to be the Class President but I missed out by only about 3 votes.

So they made me the Class Secretary of Defence.

I thought this was a great movie and i might actually go read the book some time. Kathy Bates did an AMAZING acting job and she had to have done one of the best acting jobs ive seen.

This movie was absolutely amazing and everyone in it did an amazing job with the acting. I cant really say what i thought of it just because the opinion is too complex to truely put into words.

The Princess and the Frog. Yeah, so it can't compare even to the great films of Disney's renaissance starting with The Little Mermaid, but the animation was glorious and hey, at least it's better than some of the last movies the studio gave us *cough*Brother Bear*cough*

I saw Where The Wild Things Are recently.

Maybe I was already biased in favor of it, but I thought it was really great. Could've been longer, and it was a lot heavier than I expected, though. Had to hold back some waterworks.

At one point I was tempted to howl along with the characters, hoping the army of seven year olds in the theatre would join in.

I don't think any of them really got it, though.

I love Brother Bear. ;__; Maybe because I just effing love bears and native shit. Idk.
I do agree that Princess and the Frog doesn't compare to classic Disney movies though.

Anyways, I saw 2012. Like most doomsday films, it doesn't have an amazing plot, just filled with typical sad family bonding moments that make you shed a few tears. But ho'shit, it was amazing on the big screen. Incredibly exciting to watch and had lovely visual effects.

      I enjoyed it.
