I agree.. it was predictable and very sad at the end but still a very good worthwhile movie.

I saw Terminator:Salvation with a friend of mine like a couple days ago.

I had really low expectations for it because it didnt have arnold shwartzeneger in it and for me he really "made" those terminator movies great.

Overall it was pretty good, lots of action.

I just saw Up and it's quickly made its way into my top ten! I don't what my top ten are off of the top of my head, but that's definitely one of them. It was hilarious and sweet and all-around fun. I will be buying it when it comes out.

I saw The Mask of Zorro with Antonio Banderas last week, and I thought it was entertaining, escapist fun. Anthony Hopkins was good as the original Zorro and mentor, and the interaction between him and Banderas was frequently hilarious. 7/10

Also this weekend, I got to see Up, another worthy entry into Pixar's canon. More than once it got a tear out of me, and it also made me laugh. Movies that can do that are amazing. I'd give it 8.5/10 because it's so creative and thoroughly engaging.

I watched "Zombie Wars" last night and it was surprsingly good despite the not-so-great acting. I loved the concept and the story which made up for some cheesy moments. It was a "B" film that didn't need to be. With the right actors and budget it could have been an amazing movie.

Honestly one of the best, most unique movies I have ever seen.
It's a Korean love story, with one major difference from the norm.
The two people who are the main characters and are in every scene in the movie... HAVE NO DIALOG except for 2 lines of 3 words each spoken by the girl, Sun-hwa, at the end. And even then, only one line(3 words) is to her lover, Tae-suk, who doesn't speak once.

      Very, very highly recommended.

I watched the preview for Bruno and almost soiled myself laughing at the part where he shows up on the talk show with his traditionally african named kid O.J.

      Drag Me To Hell

I thought from the commercials that it looked really dumb, but I had heard great things about it, so I went with a group of friends. It was just an all around enjoyable film. It was mostly just "BOO!" scares, but they still got some great reactions out of people (particularly one of my friends who almost jumped out of his seat ). Between those moments, you were either laughing at what was going on, or groaning because whatever was going on was really gross, and I mean...bleh

I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who just wants to have a good time.

I watched a Norwegian nazi zombie movie called Dead Snow, a combination of horror and comedy. I actually really liked it and it can all be seen on youtube with English subtitles. It definitely has some gore, but I would definitely recommend it.

I saw 'the fountain' with Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz! Death is a creative act and, as part of the process of rebirth, it is to be embraced, not feared. This is the message of The Fountain, a dazzling visual extravaganza that spans thousands of years in the relationship between Thomas (Hugh Jackman) and his dying wife Izzy (Rachel Weisz). According to the director, Darren Aronofsky (Pi, Requiem For a dream), it is a love story is about a man whose wife is dying. While trying to save her life, he stumbles upon the fountain of youth and "has to decide how that affects his own life and his own death." The film is about love and human emotion, but does not shrink from confronting the big questions - the nature of death, the search for enlightenment, and whether our true essence is human or divine. It has an epic feeling, a 2001 for the 21st century.

The story takes place in three overlapping time frames. It begins in 16th century Spain where Tomas is a conquistador who is serving Queen Isabella. She is being threatened by the Inquisition for her belief that the Tree of Life has been found in New Spain and is being guarded by the Mayans. She sends Tomas to find the tree, promising to be his wife if he succeeds in finding the tree whose sap brings eternal life. Tommy Creo is also a present day research doctor who is experimenting on a monkey, using the bark of a South American tree to desperately try to find a cure for his wife's brain tumor. In the third sequence, Tom is a 25th century astronaut grieving over the death of his wife.

He is traveling in a space bubble as he transports the dying Tree of Life to a distant galaxy that the Mayans identified as the home of the dead awaiting reincarnation. While the film is compelling on many different levels, its heart is the intimate relationship between husband and dying wife and both Jackman and Weisz turn in very strong performances as the film shifts seamlessly between time periods. Put on the back burner four years ago after Brad Pitt pulled out, The Fountain is a hypnotic work of imagination and creativity that cannot really be described. It must be experienced and reflected upon and its ultimate message will be different for each viewer. For me, it is simple - life is forever, love is forever.

      A must watch.

I'm not usually a big anime fan, but... wow. I thought it was amazing. It was a little hard to understand sometimes with the symbolism and all, but that's one thing that I really liked about it. I just had to think for a second

Dead Snow has been in my Netflix queue for like 2 months, and it still hasn't fucking come yet.

Anyway, to assuage my burning desire for Norwegian horror films, I watched Let the Right One In, and it was awesome. It almost has the feel of an American style romance, except the two main characters are twelve. I would definitely recommend it, even if horror's not your thing (it's not really that scary anyway).

Came back from Stardust a little while back.

HOW HAVE I NOT HEARD OF THIS MOVIE?

      Soooo well made.
And for you hardcore PB fans, it actually reminds me of The Princes Bride.

      10/10. Amazing.

Stardust reminded me of Princess Bride as well.

      I saw Big Fish last.

I didn't really like this movie the first time I saw it. It's growing on me.
