Tim Burton's Corpse Bride. Definitely on par with Nightmare. Thing is though, Burton's charas always look so drab anyway, it's hard to tell the dead from the living. I guess that's why he made the undead blue. :chuckle:
A bit of a "quick, wrap it up, wrap it up!" ending, but very rewarding and sweet.
'Save the last dance'
A really good film with lots of different themes in it...
"all quiet on the western front"
"cats and Dogs"
I watched Bend It Like Beckham on IFC last night, and I actually enjoyed it to some extent. The actress who played the main character in that movie was 27 years old at the time, but she sure didn't look it.
Last night I saw "The Sting". It was the first time I'd seen it and already is one I respect.
Considering when it came out, it's more clever than all of the recent heist and con movies of recent time (Oceans 11, 12; Big Score, Matchstick Men, Heist etc)
I watched "Lords of Dogtown" OK movie I guess but a litle cheesy. Gonna watch Amitiville horror tonight. Anyone seen it?
Closer. Very, very good.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
In all honesty, I didn't know what to expect. The previews kind of wierded me out and made me cringe, but when I heard everyone say that it was really good I couldn't disregard their opinions. So, I saw it on Friday night when they were showing a double-feature of the old one and the new one here at our school. It was fun to see the old one on the big screen.
Opinion: with such an origonal and enjoyable version already out, I whole-heartedly applaud Burton (with whom my opinion is neutral) for causing me to love the new one so much. Depp played the perfect role in which he was cast. I loved it so much I went back the next night to see it again.
Hmmm....The last movie I watched was Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. It rocks.
Chasing Amy. Definitely one of the best movies of the 90s.
Saw Crash and Maria Full of Grace, I'd say watch both and I think most movies suck.
The Ring
The Ring 2
i liked them both, however it are very different movies, i thought the 1st one was a mixture of horror & detective, and the 2nd movie was more of a... horror movie... but not scary at all.
they were both enjoyable, a 7.5 for both of them, though i liked the Ring (1) better...
and i saw The Rock again :D it is and will always be a VERY good movie... an 8
"Saw"
Don't.....
EVER....
See.....
this.....
crap!
Basically it consisted of some screenplay writer sitting down and coming up with the most disgusting, disturbing ways to kill and torture people. Seriously, it's sick and stupid. The reason it woke me up at 2am was because of that stupid voice; it got stuck in my head like an annoying song gets stuck.... GRR!
"SAW 2" out now and its just as crap.Quote:

anyway last movie i saw was kung fu hustle, it was mildly entertaining and at some points it was rather amusing but it has subtitles so its not one for the illiterates.although their is a german dubbed version which can be fun and educational. but anyway i reccomend it.
Last movie I saw in the cinema was Serenity about a month and a half ago. (Yep, before the premiere.) Actually I've seen The Brothers Grimm after that but that one doesn't count.
The last movie in general would be The Mummy.
i actually know the guy who directed saw 2 he is a Full Sail grad ....i did a little time at full sail after i graduated college.....im completely apathetic to other peoples pain i couldnt even get into the movie...i think i yawned when it ended.
The last movie I watched was Dirty Deeds. It's kind of funny, I guess....Nothing speacial.
The last movie I saw was the Fugitive about 2 days ago. It's a fun movie, because you aren't watching some professional trying to escape the cops, he's just a regular guy. One of Harrison Ford's best if you ask me, although if you look at his filmography, most of his movies were good, the only really bad ones were the Star Wars special where Chewbaca meets his family, and Hollywood Homicide.
Saw Red Dragon again last night
Anthony Hopkins is just scary good in that
I remember some other movie was made about that book as well, I liked some parts in that one better than the Ed Norton one
Good bye, Lenin <---- really good movie
the Exorcist <---- scariest movie ever... huh, my ass
Reposessed <---- had some good moments, but overall: :barf:
and: "GO" , <--- really good movie
Clerks
Easily the best of the Kevin Smith series.
In the theaters? Brothers Grimm.
They were really hard on the French in that movie. ;)
Of my favorite lines.. I can't seem to find the exact words online anywhere.
"You think you hate the Germans now! Just imagine if there was a whole country of Germans!"
FWIW, I thought "Saw" was an awesome movie. I love movies where every time you think you know what's going on, they throw a twist at you. Haven't seen the second one yet.
The last movies I saw were:
Spider-Man 2 -- Awesome
Catch That Kid -- Terrible
Team America: World Police -- Hilarious
