I love that movie. Princess Mononoke is still my favorite. I have all the Studio Ghibli films on DVD. I agree with the dubs. I only watch my anime with subtitles now. Just got done with Hellsing, and Ghost In The Shell 1st GIG before that. Now it's time for Inuyasha.Quote:

LotR The Two Towers, getting a bit old now and the special effects are getting a bit outdated however this is still one of my favourite films :) Can't beat a good lord of the rings film.

The Bounty, which I thought was pretty good, I like films depicting that era...
and The Illusionist, which I thought wasn't bad, but the ending was a bit predictable.
Order of the Phoenix...for the 2nd time.
I watched Stranger Than Fiction with Will Ferrell. It's now my new favorite movie. It's sooo F'n good, please check it out.
Blood Diamond
Good movie, very thought-provokingly violent. Not one of those movies you feel happy after watching.
Those are the best. I liked that movie as well.
I agree. I saw Zodiac lately and it gave me this unhappy feeling. However, it was a really good movie. It lasts two hours and a half, but I didn't think it was boring at all. Can't wait to see the extended edition, which will come out on DVD on January 2008.Quote:

Last movie watched: Kill Bill Vol. 2
I watched Fear and Loating in Las vegas last night cuz its awesome. I've seen it maybe 5 times, still cant remember anything about it, if you know what I mean. :)
Two nights ago I watched Requiem for a Dream.... it was pretty sad.
I like drug related and gangster related movies. And comedies.
Matrix...again. Hah. (Well, key parts from it, anyway). So much of that movie just never gets old. It should be required viewing for every lucid dreamer. :cooler:
Neo vs 100 smiths FTW. I like the first two matrix films the most.

'Across the Universe'. Absolutely one of my favorite movies of all time. Must see for every Beatles fan.
Star Dust, suprisingly fun film to watch. I really enjoyed this film. The first 5 minutes I was a bit iffy on whether it would be good but after that I really enjoyed it! Great film and one of the best I have seen in a long time.
Citizen Kane (first time I've seen the whole thing) and Mad Max (the original).
Rise of the Silver Surfer. I cannot believe I am saying this, but I hated it. What a colossal disappointment.
"30 days of night". A poor attempt at a horror movie... Saw it the day it came out...would have been much, much better had they not shown the evil entities.
Rant
I find the best strategy is to not EVER show what it is you're generating fear about...I can barely sit through those scenes where a dark closet door is slowly opened and someone knocks on the front door releiving you from the stress for a minute. The unknown works better.
I might as well explain myself a little bit better. An example is this: If you have the option of fliming the closet in which the whole story revolves around, getting opened in a dark corner of the house, as the protagonist looks in and gives you a view of whatever is inside, and you see blue-green tentacles...I feel that spoils the movie...on the other hand if the same thing happens, the protagonist slowly opens the closet door in a dark corner of the house, in which the whole story revolves around, but as you're about to get a view into the spooky, creepy closet, with something so sinister inside, the scene cuts to the outside of the house and you hear a blood-curdling scream from that exact room, that is much more effective than showing the antagonist.
An example of what I'm speaking of is "Hide And Seek". I loved it until the way end.

I look forward to seeing the 4th installement of SAW...though I'm not sure what to expect since they're now just milking the series for every penny.
