Ratatouille.
It was VERY cute. Pixar has really outdone themselves this time. Comedy, action, romance, suspence, the whole nine yards AND THEN SOME!
You know, no matter how old I get I still like those Pixar movies. I think my love started with Toy Story. :p
I just saw "Live Free or Die Hard." Absolutely fantastic movie! One of the best of the year... or past two years or so. Go see it... if you're old enough.
"Sicko"
Great movie wow I loved it
Keira is in all of them. That is all that matters.Quote:
The sequels weren't as good as the first.
I just watched Apocalypto....wow. Just wow.
Without a paddle..entertaining, though, it was more funny the first time I saw it:p
Die Hard 4. That movie was non-stop action. Tons of fun.
(i refuse to call it Shneezerflap, It's Die Hard 4)
Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theaters
OK film, but just OK. It had its moments, but nothing memorable or spectacular. I expected more from such a great show.
I saw 1408 the other day and it was pretty good. Although I didnt really like the ending that much and most of the plot was pretty random.
Ocean's Thirteen.
I fell asleep halfway through if that tells you anything.
Anyway, I just returned from the premier of Transformers. I got there about six hours early... because I'm just that crazy... And the only other thing I would have done was sit on my computer, so why not? Anyway, it turned out to have great special effects, awesome fight scenes, and it was a good movie,... but there was, unfortunately, a lot of stuff that they could have left out. There were a lot of inuendos... and even one or two things that even went beyond inuendo. I really liked it, but that and the language made me give the movie an A- grade.
Call me conservative, but I calls 'em as I sees 'em.
Thank you for Smoking. Those who didn't like it obviously can't understand the blatant overall brilliance.
Gonna disagree.
Just got back from the movie and I thought it was fuckin awesome. Honestly, I thought it was a bit refreshing that they threw the "sexual" (mild as it was) and, otherwise, "adult" content in there. They really took that PG-13 rating for all it was worth and showed that they aren't afraid to cater to the now(somewhat)-mature audience that the Transformers fan-base is made of. Few movies have been able to take such a bold (collective) entity as the Transformers and pull it off in a way that doesn't seem completely hokey. The cinematography alone really did them justice (though I feel that many of the action shots were a little too close and made it kinda hard to see what was going on - but, then again, I had to sit in the front row, because there were no seats left ).
Shia Lebouf was great and Megan Fox was definitely "good enough." It had a good blend of many different elements in there (comedy, action, "romance," drama, etc.) and the CGI really set a new standard for blockbuster action films.
The musical score was kinda awkward, at times. It definitely had the whole Michael Bay feel to it, but some of the "mood music" they chose, at different times, was a little off, if you ask me.
I really like that they didn't take too much time on "easing-in" to the Transformers' personalities and just kinda had them pegged, from the beginning. I also like how their "glorification" of the military (as I saw someone interpret, in their review) was actually the more cognizant "be aware of what's really going on in your military" concept that many artists spend so much unrecognized energy on trying to convey.
All in all: 8.5 out of 10 - and, coming from someone that sat in the front row and could barely see many of the most intense scenes, that's saying a lot.
I plan on seeing it again (which is something I rarely ever do for $8 theater movies) with better seats, before it leaves the theaters.
I understand your point, but there are other ways to appeal to a more mature audience than through crude/lewd "jokes".
It also didn't help much being in an audience full of hormone-enhanced high schoolers.... especially the ones that waited in line before I got there and talked the whole time about World of Warcraft... ah, memories. *throws up a little*
I didn't even watch that. From the preview it seemed as though they were glorifying capitalist pigs. Is this true or is it exactly the opposite?Quote:

It almost seemed like a comedy; how would that be funny?
Titanic. You can call me gay for watching such a "chick-flick" but I really don't care. It's a great movie, even if it is the most depressing movie in the universe. Besides It's the second time I've ever seen it and I had to watch it again. Although I probably wouldn't have if I had rememered more of the ending, now I want to kill myself. :( :p
transformers, it kicks ass!
ghost Rider. It was alright! some cool scenes
