all the movies today suck. (well most of them). thats because if u have some big name like disney u dont have to make a GOOD movie u just have to make a moive and people will see it because its disney. and hel once u paided for the damn ticket they dont care whether u like the movie or not!
Most mainstream movies do indeed suck. Go see an indie film. Sideways was awesome.
The World According to Garp.
Yay for realism.
just some bits n pieces of 'Underworld'
Seemed like a pretty cool vampire action-flick, backstory was apperantly kinda flimsy.
Napoleon Dynamite
"Man on Fire" - on DVD
Excellent film. :goodjob2:
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (you have to see it to believe it) :)
^ That movie was awesome. One of the funniest I've seen in a long time.
I'm watching that tonight on pay per view!!!!Quote:

Not as much action as in The Matrix, though, a lot more dialogue and stuff.
The Spongebob Squarepants Movie
It was okay. Entertaining, but I wouldn't allow a kid to see it. There are just too many adult innuendos for my taste... but that's just my take. It was funny, tho.

Napoleon Dynamite
odd movie
loved it
Yeah, I've noticed a lot of cartoons today do things like that. Looking at the cartoons I had watched as a kid, I find subtle humor like that, but it's far more common now in modern cartoons (ie, Fairly Oddparents).Quote:

The last movie I saw was "Almost Famous"....I watched it yesterday for the first time. It was pretty funny. Before that, I watched "Bennie and Joon" with Johnny Depp in it and I thought it was a really cute movie. It's so silly...
I saw Flight of the Phoenix yesterday....holy shit was it ever terrible. Good movie to make fun of while watching it. I really would've loved it if the damn plane just fell of the cliff and crashed, killing everyone.
Lamest moment: Dennis Quaid picks of a arms smuggler from 50 yards with a handgun.
Hero. It was wicked. I liked it just as much as Crouching Tiger, hidden dragon. Loved the cinamaphotography.
Peace Sensi.
The last movie I saw was "The Notebook". At first, I thought I wouldn't like it, but I ended up loving it. It was great.
Just saw Mulholland Drive.......I don't even know what to say. Easily one of the most fucked up movies I've ever seen....I think I like it though....not quite sure....
[size=18]David Lynch is a Genuis, one of my favourate directors of all time His movies are so complex they somtimes take you down roads of deception.
You have to watch Mulholland Drive about 5 times to appriciate it, i dont think the story itseld needs understanding but here is a cool quote by Lynch to understand his movies:-
EYE OF THE DUCK
"A duck is one of the most beautiful animals. If you study a duck, you'll see certain things: the bill is a certain texture and a certain length; the head is a certain shape; the texture of the bill is very smooth and it has quite precise detail and reminds you somewhat of the legs (the legs are a little more rubbery). The body is big, softer, and the texture isn't so detailed. The key to the whole duck is the eye and where it is placed. It's like a little jewel. It's so perfectly placed to show off a jewel - right in the middle of the head, next to this S-curve with the bill sitting out in front, but with enough distance so that the eye is very well secluded and set out. When you're working on a film, a lot of times you can get the bill and the legs and the body and everything, but this eye of the duck is a certain scene, this jewel, that if it's there, it's absolutely beautiful. It's just fantastic."

I haven't seen any movies lately... I saw Constantine not too long ago though. It was decent, not a piece of crap like most comic-based movies. I'm looking forward to Sin City.
Since I've been home, I've seen "The Phantom of the Opera" (again :D ), "Robots" (very cute movie, recommended), and today I saw "Miss Congeniality 2" which I thought was pretty good. It wasn't anything majorly spectacular, but I enjoyed it.
