The traveler.
A movie with Val Kilmer, where he plays a mysterious dude who shows up at a police station on Christmas Eve and tells them he committed murder. He won't give them anything else, and calls himself "Nobody". The plot thickens as we find out he's after the cops working this shift. This stranger isn't exactly human though. The ending disappointed, but I liked the rest of it. Especially since we get to see cops who went outside the law get what they deserve.
Chinese Zodiac 2012
Laughed for the whole movie, it was good! :D
For those wondering, the necromancer is Sauron. I'm not trying to ruin anything because I know they won't tell you in the movie. Gandalf will probably disappear halfway through part 2 and we will never hear or see him again. That's how it was in the book at least.
They won't explain that Saruman the Wise knows that the necromancer is Sauron, and his plan the entire time is to ally with him so that he could control Sauron in the long run from behind the scenes either buy stealing his ring or forging his own (That is why the hobbits were always brought directly to Saruman). If you remember in LOTR all of the orcs and Uruk Hai were under the control of Saruman, not Sauron, Saruman was the one who created the Uruk Hai to begin with.
"A new Power is rising. Against it the old allies and policies will not avail us at all. There is no hope left in Elves or dying Numenor. This then is one choice before you, before us. We may join with that Power. ... As the Power grows, its proved friends will also grow; and the Wise, such as you and I, may with patience come at last to direct its courses, to control it." -- from "The Council of Elrond"
Saruman envies Gandalf because he has a ring of power that was given to him by the old elves, thats why he basically treats him like shit.
Akira - I thought it was awesome. Although the ending was confusing.
Jack Reacher- Good
Total Recall- Bad
Lockout- Bad
Gotta see the original brah. Haven't seen the new and don't plan on it because may ruin the old one for me.

Last movie in theaters: The Dark knight Rises - I enjoyed it quite a bit, but realized how it isn't really a comic-book movie at all; it is an allegory or sorts perhaps about what is happening in the U.S. and how the people want a heroic figure to save us perhaps. There's more to it than that, but this idea of "a storm is coming" is a reflection of what is happening (i.e., recession/depression) in this country.
Just watched Away We Go, one of Sam Mendes' latest films. Really good if you enjoy lighthearted indie romance films with a hint of drama. I'm a sucker for stuff like that. Was good to see John Krasinski as someone other than Jim from the Office.
Cloud Atlas... omg so good
No, he comes back near the end when Bilbo is trying to make Thorin stop being an ass. He's at the Battle of Five Armies and he takes Bilbo home.
I guess Gandalf doesn't use his ring of power, because Saruman outbattles him in Fellowship...Quote:

Yeah that's right, I forgot he interrupts the battle at the end while they were arguing with each other. What I mean though is he will randomly disappear in part 2 and they won't explain what happens with the necromancer, so don't expect them to. You have to read "The Silmarillion" if you want to know what happens.
Gandalf's ring of power provides him a longer life and the ability to inspire courage and hope in people (thats how he convinces Bilbo and Frodo), his ring is outside of Saurons influence because it was not created by Sauron but by the Elves of Eregion (this is all explained in "The Silmarillion").
Tolkien was a fucking genius by the way, he literally created his own world and revolutionized the fantasy stereotypes (Dwarves=Axes+Beards) we see in modern media. Most people don't understand the impact LOTR had on pop culture. The guy created his own fucking language, you can learn to read and write Tolkien's Elvish, it isn't just random sounding words, its a legit language with an alphabet, grammar, and conjugation.
They'll explain what happens in the third film, and they'll probably include pieces of that story in number 2.
The Hobbit.
Amazing #nuffsaid
Django Unchained is pretty good.
Life of Pi. Entertaining but didn't blow me away.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

Love this to death now.:thumbup: all those heavy guns got my stomach dropping and wanting more action!
The Howling:Reborn, alot better than I thought it was gonna be.
I actually really liked the end while the credits were rolling.
If they do explain what happens with the necromancer then they are taking excerpts out of the "Silmarillion" and including it in the film, its not original to "The Hobbit"
Peter Jackson has said as much in interviews, it's not a secret he's using the silmarillion and lord of the rings appendices. It's 3 movies, after all.
Anyways I just watched Silver Linings Playbook and I really liked it because it's about a guy with bipolar. It's not a laugh out loud comedy but it's easy to get to like the main characters. Jennifer Lawrence has a fucking perfect body and her character is awesome.
Looper
Didn't wanna see this movie at first but I got around to it finally. It entertained me for a majority of the time, but I have to say that them adding the telekinesis stuff the way they did was a bit too much for me. Best part was when a future version of this one guy kept losing parts of himself because they had captured his past self and were performing amputations to cripple him so they could kill him easier.
I also agree with op, Jennifer Lawrence is hot. Been on my radar since she went half nude as mystique.
Django Unchained
Somewhat funny. Pretty good untill the bloodbath.
