      Scott Pilgrims vs the World.

The film's nice, especially with its videogame fx. The concept of the 7 evil Xs is also nice. If I were to rate the film, i'll give it 8.1/10

I thought Scott Pilgrim was really funny and original.

      Tonight I watched

      Transformers 3
Absolutely terrible in every way, avoid like the plague.

      Hangover 2
Original is very good, this film is a totally pointless facsimile and not funny.

      Amélie
Vaguely meant to watch it for ages. Very funny, lovely, original, well acted, well shot, absolutely everything about this is great, stop being lame and watch it now.

Just watched it not too long ago as well. I agree with what you said, was very strange, but in a good way.
      Girl was beautiful too

Xei - I've been meaning to watch Amelie for so long. I started watching it a while ago, but on a crappy quality stream. Think I definitely have to buy it.
Did you watch a dub, or subtitled? I can never be screwed with subtitles.

That's probably because you can never be screwed with subtitles. I don't watch foreign films that often, but I don't realise they're subtitled any more. You quickly learn to read them subconsciously. I really think you should try, you miss out on so much if the original script and vocal nuance is replaced with some simplified American monotone.

Some dubs are really good though. I watched a dub of the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and I didn't even realise it was dubbed lol
I will give it a go though I suppose.

Watched Another Earth last night, think it is from a film festival. Was really, really fucking good. Until the end.
I didn't like the end at all, felt a bit too rushed, but I just didn't like what happened either.
      Worth watching though. 7/10

      Dark Water with Jennifer Connelly.

The movie was nothing special at all, but Jennifer Connelly is freakin gorgeous.

      Jason and the agronauts (1963)
2,3/5 Not as enjoyable as Clash of Titans (1981). Some old school special effects, too little island, greece mythology, Hercules who wasn't there according the mythology and way too short. It almost made me sleep and came to my dreams. Medeia character has spawned many art flicks that I might want to see at some point.
Jason and the Argonauts (1963) - IMDb

      The Man from earth
5/5 Spefi movie with no special effects. Movie about storitelling, meta writing scifi novel, psychology, academic science, religious deconstruction and things. You'll be supriced. Very waking life like.
The Man from Earth (2007) - IMDb

      Prospero's books
Highly recomendable 42/5. It's seldom I got this dreamlike experince of meeting real and archain magician. Now it's been few days after I watched this and my logical mind starts to question the experience.
      Prospero's Books (1991) - IMDb

Hobo With a Shotgun- This movie was enjoyable from start to finish. So many one liners...so much over the top violence. Everything was done so well. This is the best exploitation film I've seen since Machete..maybe even better. In it's genre, it easily deserves a 5 out of 5. Oh and it has the best gearing up montage I've ever seen in cinema.

      Captain America.

I saw it in theaters with my cousin as one of those situations where you're like, "Welp, nothing else to do."

It was... okay. I'd probably give it a solid 5.5/10 or so.

It was entertaining. It just wasn't really very deep. It was another hollywood-ization of a comic book story. I think we're all getting a little sick of those, honestly.

      Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol
Nice Plot, Nice Fx, and an overall nice film. But one downside of the film is its kinda weak ending. I'd give the film a 7/10.

I've watched "Hi, Fidelity", a Hong Kong movie, a couple of days ago.

I pretty like its theme. Okay so perhaps some things weren't well explained and my favourite actress ended up dying. But I just like the point where my favourite actress is a homosexual, and the movie showing certain true facts about homosexuality in an Asian country.

I saw something really crappy, the movie was about Steve Martin and Claire Danes getting it on.. But then in the end she chose a younger guy.. Steve Martin was a complete dick to her.

MI4: Ghost Protocol. It was a very well-done movie, I enjoyed the fast pacing and comic relief, even though Simon Pegg seemed to be playing the same character he always does.

Good movie but psychologically hard to cope with. Peek into mind of a schizofraniac and not with hollywoodish sugar coating. Acting of lead chracter is worth many oscars. His way of moving slowly and sleeping in dark places is beouynd anything I've yet seen in this genre. Happy moments are few but the once that crossover some brittish detective actors are sunny ones.
I can't recomend this for everyone. But It's hard to find this deep psycholocigal horror nowdays.
      Rated R for good reasons
      Spider (2002) - IMDb

Next I'll watch some bad scifi from VHS. Be it battlefield earth. It's hard to find a movie with worse reviews
