gonzo, i like it
I just came back from seeing The King's Speech. Phenomenal movie. Colin Firth was absolutely brilliant.
There Will Be Blood - Excellent excellent excellent. Daniel Day Lewis and Paul Dano. Awesome.
Goodfellas - Classic gangster movie. Very good.
Natural Born Killers - Oliver Stone directed. Very strange but pretty badass.
Black Swan - Dark, disturbing, edgy. Natalie was very good.
Best In Show - Weird humor. Christopher Guest. It was alright.
Donnie Darko- awesome
127 Hours.
Holy shit.
Great music, great acting, great ending. I was very moved by the whole thing, and left the theater in tears after it was over. A++
Watched the animated movie 9 on HBO. Amazing concept, great animation, great premise for a story, totally non-child friendly and sinister atmosphere... but the story was way too rushed, far undermined its potential, could've been developed so much better, dialogue was cheesy, ending was lame. I was disappointed
My son discovered a movie on Netflix and recommended it to me. Our interests rarely parallel, so I put it off for awhile. I really wish I had watched it sooner.
Jekyll (TV Series 2007–*) - IMDb
Jekyll was an awesome miniseries/movie. Almost 6 hours long all in all but I THOROUGHLY enjoyed it. The ending could've been a bit better, other than that it was perfect.
'Hyde is love, and love is a psychopath.' ROFL
My sister's keeper. good film. really good acting by Diaz and whoever played the sister with cancer.
Grown Ups... It SUCKED! Is it me or has the quality of comedy movies that Adam sandler makes seriously declned since the end of the 90's? That's excluding the longest yard.
Watched Spaceballs, early this morning. Hadn't seen it in ages. Still one of my favorite comedies of all time.
eraserhead - garbage
Yea his movies definatly have gone down hill. I watched The Kingdom today. The ending always gives me the chill when both the iraqi girl and Agent say We're going to kill them all. I'm from a family who have had a lot of people in the military so I love those types of movie. I believe I might be joining soon too. I'm still thinking though.
Memento - loved it!
Hachiko, a dog's tale. Good movie, but very depressing.
Green Hornet: It wasn't wholly unenjoyable, but a lot of the dialog was flat and awkward. I'm way up Seth Rogen's butt, and both he and Jay Chou did well with what they were given (Cameron Diaz was pretty much just a placeholder character, so not much can be said about her performance), but there's only so much you can do with writing that weak. Christoph Waltz did a good job as the insecure arch-enemy, too. There were a few laughs, and the last big battle is fun, if also ridiculous. Overall, ***°°/C.
This might sound odd but I TOTALLY have the hots for Christoph Waltz. XD He was just ENTRANCING in Inglourious Basterds. Sexy and smooth... as a Jew-killing Nazi psychopath! What the fuck is wrong with me!? Lol. Waltz is the main reason I want to see Green Hornet. I've only been impressed by Jay's work ONCE, and that was in Secret, a Taiwanese film. (Watch it if you can, it's pretty good.) He's really a lackluster actor; a much better musician, definitely. As for Seth Rogen, I've only actually ever seen him in that Lonely Island video, Like a Boss.
Who ever said requiem for a dream is a good movie is crazy. Well I guess its a good movie, but the ending is soooo depressing. I guess the whole movie is depressing because of how they're lifestyle is. Trainspotting is a much better movie if you want to watch a somewhat funnier drug addict movie.
Requiem for a Dream is an undeniably good movie that I would never recommend anyone ever see. I watched it alone at night in a basement home theater, and at the end it was like every bit of horror and misery in the world was crashing down on me.
Sherlock Holmes. One of my favorite movies. It's so badass. Watching it a second time really clarifies things that I didn't catch or that went too fast in the first view. Also, RDJ + Jude Law = SEXINESS!
Predator (in Spanish). 5/5 based on action films. Any movie that I can watch all the way through in a language that I can only understand portions off speaks volumes about it. The musical score was superb, and the special effects were top notch for the time it was made. My only complaint how "Anna, get to the choppa!" didn't translate as awesomely funny.
Finally watched the movie Thursday on youtube. I liked it.
