True Blood Season 2 premiers tomorrow.
Anyone else going to be watching it?
My mom loves that show....
It's just a bunch of redneck vampires....
I heard about this show while listening to Fresh Air on NPR. It sounds pretty interesting, vampires who live in harmony with humans because of synthetic vampire blood made from a Japanese Biotech firm?
Yeah, I'll give it a shot.
I don't watch this show, might when I get the time. I just wanted to say: Eric Northman is a Viking God.
I watched all of season 1 and just watched the first episode of season 2 and I'm still undecided if I like it or not. I think the only reason I watch it is because that hot chick is in it :P
I'm with you Eonnn, I like it but I'm no sure if I really like it.
But I have to say I was so happy when I found out that Lafayette was still alive. He's my favorite character.
I really hope they turn Lafayette! :vampire:
.
Awesome show. I make sure to watch it whenever it's on. And yes, Lafayette is awesome. "Every burger comes with aids here!"
This is the best television show ever made, and I'm not exaggerating in the least.
The premises of the show is that vampire have made their existence public knowledge after the creation of a synthetic blood substitute called True Blood. The vamps have come "out of the coffin" as the saying goes.
The main character is a telepathic mind reader who falls in love with a vampire. (Rogue from the X-men movie, you get to see her boobs!)
The story is amazing. It's one of the few shows where I can't predict what's going to happen next. And the way the vampires die is spectacular. Picture a water balloon full of blood that suddenly bursts.
This show has everything, vamps, shape shifters, witches, violence and lots and lots of graphic sex.
Do yourself a favor and watch this show, you'll be glad you did!
And the southern drawl is enough to kill you.
Also, welcome back Cusp.
I've merged the threads, Cusp.
I need to find a way to watch True Blood online. >.> But I don't think I'll watch it until I've finished the books.
Oops, thanks Xox. Knew I should have done a search first.
A little something from season 1, episode 9 that my mother pointed out to me:
WHen Sookie goes to spend the night at Bill's house while he's not there, she's walking up the stairs, and right behind her you see this misty ghost for just a second. I didn't even notice it until my mother told me to look for it.
They haven't worked that into the plot yet, but it's something to watch for if you missed it.
Woo-hoo, currently half-way through True Blood Season 1 (thanks to Elis D), and loving it so far. Just as good as the books if not more! It is sort of annoying that I know what's going to happen. Though, I see they changed a lot of things to make it more entertaining. I really like how they're pretty open about everything, You don't see too much graphic sex in American TV shows. :p
Good news! the show has been renewed for a third season! Myself and a lot of other people included find that the show gets better with each episode.

Also, Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) are getting married IRL! No wonder they hit it off so well on the show!

Doesn't anyone watch this? Sheesh. :p
I want to discussss what's going on. I know the season's over next week and all, but yeah.
Well... I too need to find a way to watch this online then!
I'm still tracking down the latest :P
It's looking like Sookie must be the secret weapon--I'm guessing she's the incarnate servant/aspect of someone who trumps the drunky god(who is normally my favorite).
yeah thats weird what sookie did to mary-anne, wonder if all telepaths can do it or just her and what that means.
I just watched the latest episode.. so vampires can fly now? thats cool but why haven't we seen them fly until now? and what was that big egg at the end?
I thought it was really funny how Jason said "I wonder if Sam could turn into a chicken and lay an egg"
Sookies's accent is really getting annoying. Not to mention her how dumb she acts. Mouthing off to to the powerful vamps all the time like that. She's just asking for it!
But yeah, vampires can fly now?
I like where the story is going with the Maynad, and how the queen said "All living creatures imagine themselves into existence."
Jason Stackhouse just cracks me up lately.
I really don't like the new shell shocked Lafayette. It just doesn't fit his character.
