Re: flying, I assumed Bill flew to see the queen as well, or engaged in some form of preternatural fast-going.

Where is the queen's place, anyway? If I had to guess, I'd say Egypt, seeing how much the series borrows from Anne Rice.

Frankly, at times Sookie can get quite annoying. Just her behaviour in general, she comes off as stupid. But she has won my respect as this season progressed. I could hardly stand her in the first season. I hope Eric and her hit it off soon, lol.

Jason is lulzy, but he comes off as incredibly impressionable which can be irritating at times. But it's sort of endearing.

I'm not too shocked at the vamps flying, I've read the books. According to them, only really powerful vamps can fly. (Like Eric)

Aand I think Sookie has special powers because of her telepathy, of course.

I agree.

And who thinks the queen is like ultra hot?

I've only read 4 or so. I don't know of any special powers. :F They changed a lot of shit from the books anyway.

there are 9 books in the series so far, the 10th book comes out in May '10.
I've read all of the books, and they're way better than the show.

If you want my opinion on what that was that Sookie did to Mary Anne let me know, because I have a slight idea. But I could be totally wrong. and it could cost you a big spoiler.

So yeah, last episode was pretty much what I expected. A lot of subplots going on that will undoubtedly appear in the next season. I guess Eric had someone kidnap Bill. I'm speculating that he'll make Bill disappear, and then pretend he's looking for him. In the process, he'll grow closer to Sookie, etc.

It's cute that Bill proposed to her as he did the same recently irl.

I just started watching this show. I love it.

Haha yeah its great isn't it. My friend pushed me unwillingly into it and I quickly became massively addicted.

I'm really excited for season 3. 1 was great in and of itself and I think 2 was much better (aside from post-traumatic Lafayette, I hope he comes back for real in 3). It honestly seems to me like the writing and plot just get better with each episode.

half way through episode 3. Stupid megavideo, I got that illimitux firefox addon, but it takes A LOT longer to steam the video. It's pretty much not worth it, better off waiting the 54 minutes.

Probably gonna watch another 2-3 tonight. I didn't like how they didn't go into detail about how vampires are kept alive despite being technically dead. He just says "magic!" and then spouts some cheesy line about everything being magical.

I mean, obviously there is a whole suspension of disbelief considering the main character is telepathic, and the world is filled with vampires...But you can only take so much. Writers can generally do better than that

I think different characters in the show have different opinions on the supernatural element. You'll hear a much better description a few more episodes in.
