I need a good book to read.

I absolutely love reading! but i don't have time to read each blurb on the back of a book!
I'm a looking for a book that is quite popular so i can locate it quickly and purchase it.
      maybe a love story?
      or a thriller?
something that will interest me for awhile.
Thanks anything will help if you suggest a book could you please tell me what its about?
      thx

The Taking by Dean Koontz is simply awesome.
My 13 year old daughter read it and loved it and now my 16 year old son is reading it.
      It's a thriller/mystery with a tad bit of romance.

I also recommend anything by Michael and Kathleen Gear. They write fictional stories about America's long forgotten past and the Natives who lived here, survived, warred, loved and died long before Collumbus (sp). But they're sometimes a little harder to find. Any big bookstore will have them but places like Walmart might not.
