      Street Fighter IV

      Who else has purchased it?

Amazing game, I have to say. It pulls different things from different games. It has throwbacks to Street Fighter 2, but includes characters from Alpha and Third Strike.

They also added EX moves in there, Focus Moves, and a Super and Ultra Combo bar.

Currently I have around 26 hours on my playfile, unlocked everyone expect for 1 character (I have to beat the game with all the characters, only have about half left), and have nearly 200 wins on Xbox Live.

I've beaten the game on the hardest difficulty, also netting the hardest achievement in the game. This requires you to beat the hardest difficulty without dying, you need a perfect win, and at least 3 ultra combo finishers.

Don't let that make you think this game is easy. Not to be conceited, but I'm very good at Street Fighter.

      Well, discuss!

You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

lol, how do you post a new thread accidentally on a current thread without realizing it?....haha, ur funny....

actually, EX moves have been around since street fighter 3 (and of course, supers) but it sounds more like the last street fighter you were ever serious about was one of the many revisions of SFII

I'm actually more of a MVC2 player (I like infinite combos), and have a little bit of exp w/ 3rd strike...

well, in a lot of ways, this is easier than other street fighter in the sense that....you can pull off very damaging combos with less effort compared to say....CVS2 or 3S (and of course marvel, haha)....but in the end, it's all mind games between the two opponents, not about how hard it is to pull off a certain trick or combo....I have to admit, competition online has gotten better in the past few days (first couple days after release, competition was terrible)

btw, u didn't say which version you had...hit me up if you have PS3 version, my tag is Cantstopdabumrus

No, no, you misunderstand. I didn't post a new thread on a current thread.

I posted a new thread on the Entertainment board, and shortly thereafter, realized there was already a thread on Street Fighter IV. So then a mod came in and merged our two threads together, keeping your thread name.

      Confusing, but it works.

Anywhoot, I got the 360 version. All my friends play on Live, so I kinda follow what systems my friends are going to be on. Speaking of, hows your online record?

I've already hit the achievement for 100 wins. Now I have to play 500 matches. I also got the "Legendary Fighter" achievement/trophy, which is beating the game on Hardest and fighting Gouken. In order to do that, you have to beat the game on Hardest without continuing, get a perfect, and three ultra combo finishes. I'm quite proud of that.

I have everyone unlocked except for Seth. I still gotta beat it with a few more characters.

ahhhh ic, ok ok, didn't know these threads worked that way

I'm not much for achievements, because I'm more of a competitive player...meaning, I get my sense of accomplishment from beating real live people.

Online, I've got about 1,500 BP so far, after playing for a couple of days....people online really suck, lol

as for the 360 version, I know wut u mean, I'm probably gonna pick it up since it's what MOST of my friends are playing nowadays....I'm disappointed with them....the ps3 controller is so much better suited for fighting games

btw, anyone try out for the gamestop hosted SFIV tourney that's sweeping the nation? I got to round 2, but got hella close to winning...people in my area (bay area) are some of the best in street fighter, period

I work at Gamestop, so I can't try out for the tourney. But I was there when we had it, and I fucking stomped the kid who won at our store.
