Thread: Does anyone know what series this is?

Main character was part pf some experimental study, stuck in some secret underground base for years, but then escapes into some nearby encampment for smart people on summer break. Calls certain things like candy and fire by nonsense syllables denoting pleasure and pain respectively.
It's a sprt of present-day or 20 minutes into the future series. Vaguely similar to the first series of Kyle XY, only it predated it, and the main character was mostly able to talk, and I don;t think he had any super powers. Other characters try to keep him/it from getting caught by the Company, but no secret genius society that grew him in a vat for twenty years.

No, it's not The Journey of Allen Strange, the main character was, if not completely human, then at least from earth. It was sometime in the late 90s, though, I think.

I think it was some miniseries, maybe on the WB, maybe sci-fi. Might have been cancelled partway through.

Jake 2.0 maybe?

That closer, but I don;t think that's it. I don;t actually get UPN, and I think it played on the WB right before or after one of Andromeda's timeslots...
Hmm, it's possible it wasn;t even an actual series, but I was so sure it was.

Thanks for your suggestions, if anyone has any other idea what show it might be, please post. If it was on WB64, you'd probably only have seen it in the midwestern United States, so less probability of anyone here knowing what it was.
