Go to the console and then:
setgs iMaxCharacterLevel ###

###=the level cap of your choice. Sometimes you may need to put the code in again to continue to get exp.. not sure why.

So far I'm kind of disappointed with this game.

I think because it's too similar to Oblivion, which I played for 100+ hours and am now utterly sick of.

Oh, and the fact that I keep dying and/or I keep wondering in a barren wasteland for hours at a time before I'm able to progress a quest is tedious.

My brother generally feels the same way but I must say that I am able to thoroughly enjoy this game. How you must scavage, talk, sneak, etc. The humour too is hillarious.

Sometimes the travel can be annoying, especially in the subway, but fast travel takes a lot away from that nuisance.

Personally, I don't like Oblivion because it's too cheesy and I can't help but laugh at how every character looks (especially there lips).

I absolutely love Fallout. It's a welcome break from the same-old, same-old scenery and plot of other games. The premise is awesome, and the world inside the world is really interesting to explore. Everywhere I go in the game I get very imaginative and think of the potential stories to the environment and the things you see. It's also interesting because the actual premise of the game is a realistic one that we can relate to in a certain sense. This is our planet after suffering nuclear war and general anarchy and chaos. We can picture it in our mind and every sight in the game is breathtaking in a scary, holy-shit-this-could-happen kinda way.

Nothing bad to say about Fallout except that the main quest should be longer.

Sounds like an unfamiliarity with fallout type world maps. The best thing about the fallout series is its barren-ness.

I've watched the coming of this game for somewhere around 6 years, and I still haven't played it.

The Alien Blaster is better than the firelance. The Alien Blaster kills deathclaws in one hit.

Another thing, the map is actually based on the actual geography of the D.C. area. Everything in Fallout 3 is basically iconic of the real thing. I find that interesting.

So far, I've got 50 hours on Fallout.

i got fallout 3 the other day, im playing it right at this moment. its a good game.

Definately worth a look through if you got the game for PC.
So far there are mods that fix various Bethsenda blunders... one lets you continue after the main quest finishes, another to fix the appearance of females so they dont all look like men with boobs, ect. ect. Anyway Fallout 3 is pretty awesome, im on my 4th playthrough. Its a pity there aren't more quests or interesting things to do in the wasteland, using TGM completely kills the gameplay, similiarly to Oblivion. Plus, if you ever feel like its too easy you just crank up that difficulty meter, its awesome.
But, as I was saying, the lack of more quests is irritating and the seemingly repetative cave/interior cell 'dungeon'-type things suck. I mean, you see one cave you see 'em all... unless of course you go bobblehead searching, but after you sneak a look at an FAQ you know where they all are XD
Anyway, all I can say is if you bought it for PS3/ Xbox you made a mistake. Because mods will definately spruce things up a little.

Alien Blaster and Firelance are about the same except the Alien blaster is guaranteed critical hit. Plus it comes with a dead alien.

I fucking love Fallout 3 too..

I was playing a good character, but I happened to do some pretty bad things at the beginning (Was Roleplaying my character being careless, trying to save his own ass) and now I feel really bad about it T_T

It's pretty realistic. Which makes it damn hard to play an evil character without breaking down and turning the character to the good side.

Seriously, walking around Paradise Falls, watching those slaves, I want to save them all, but my character doesn't. Arck!

Still haven't played through the Main Quest yet, think I'm gonna do that on my fucked-up-at-the-beginning-Character, and then get a proper Good character.


I'm surprised they put children in the game this time O_O
In Oblivion, there was 1 child... skeleton in a cave.


Little Lamplight. Oh god, the awesomeness. PURE ANARCHY, MAN.

Only thing I don't really like about it is the VATS, sometimes, I feel like I completely have to rely on it. If my weapon skill isn't high enough, I'm NEVER going to hit using normal aim, because the gun practically fires left when I aim straight ahead.

VATS > find 95% Head > Click thrice > Wait > You won
VATS > 24% Head > Exit VATS > Go closer > find 95% Head > Repeat above

But after getting 70+ skill in the weapons, shooting people's heads off without VATS is fucking awesome. Getting a headshot with the Sniper is just teh best.


I can't wait to tinker with the G.E.C.K. either > I loved the TES: Construction Set!


Another thing, I seriously love the voice actor for Mr. Burke, I'm sooo happy they kept him from Oblivion. He made the voices for Lucien Lachance and Lord Sheogorath aswell. I extracted all the files from the .bsa's back then, and sorted them out, I just love his voice
