Resident Evil/Biohazard:Degeneration is now out!!!

I'm surprised nobody's made a topic for this movie yet!

This is the only Resident Evil movie production so far that fans of the game can actually recognize as within the same universe as the game series. If you played the game(s) and you've never heard of this movie, it's just been released last week, and it was developed in CG rather than live-action (thus, the sub-par trilogy starring Milla Jovovich) and the action is well-done in this movie, too.

Everything takes place some time after the events of Resident Evil 4, featuring Leon Kennedy (for some reason, he's dark as hell; nothing like the lighter-hearted version from RE4, but still koo) and Claire Redfield as the main characters. Standard zombie movie formula (not gonna give too much away) - suspicious company is behind the new virus threat, zombies appear, many many bullets are shot, etc. ~ and on top of that, the drama is well-polished for Capcom's first full-length game-to-movie event. It's basically a 90 minute long cinematic, very gratifying if you're much of a gamer.

heck yeah, I liked RE 1-3, but 4 just blew me out of the water with it's revamped game engine. I'm actually playing the Wii version again for like the 3rd time right now, lol.

RE5 is going to cause me to take a week off work for vacation time

anyways, the new RE movie got me excited cuz it's been a long time since a game-to-movie presentation was made (emphasizing the fact it was done in CG ~ the only way it CAN be truly done) since FFVII:Advent Children.

Leon's pretty badass in his action scenes, you'll know what I mean if you check it out.

I just got done watching it on Youtube. It's in HQ too. I thought it was a good movie but Leon seemed a little bit different than he did in Resident Evil 4.

Youtube would take it down in an instant if they knew.

Anyway, who got the link to the HD version, if it's still there? I'm curious how good it looks on Youtube.

I watched the entire thing on Youtube, and it had all the elements of a Resident Evil game and I absolutely loved it. Voice acting was a little flat at times, but hey... you can't beat the awesome zombie crazed atmosphere that is RE.

OMG yes I just downloaded this and watched it the other day. I heard it was coming out and had to see it. It was pretty good can't wait for RE5 to come out on the next gen consoles gonna tear that badboy. Need to go back and play Re4 now >_> Leon what a guy.

Blah, I tried to find a post already about this but didn't find this. I actually like cheap animation, I was just saying that the reason I didn't hear about it was probably because it was an animation thing instead of a actual movie. Rarely do I ever see commercials for animation movies.

I just wish I had finished that zombie game with Claire. I never got past like that creep mansion thing.

I've actually seen quite a few commercials for Resident Evil Degeneration on T.V.
And I hope by cheap animation you weren't referring to this movie? The graphics of this are on par with Final Fantasy Advent Children. Both are very graphically amazing.

I would agree with that on everything accept for the characters' faces and expressions. There just seemed to be something lacking in this one that made it seem a little video game-ish. Only a little, though. Everything else was great, but I feel that there was just something, visually, that didn't quite live up to what I expected of a brand new CGI movie.
