Any sort of sexual contact between 14-15 that is not directly linked to an ongoing romance is considered exploitation of lack of sexual autonomy (if the culprit is above 21). For 18-21, this is up to the younger person to decide, as long as there is no money involved. Once the younger person hits 16, she is considered on par with adults and not protected by law (sexual underage thus means <16). But even for <16 what counts is the statement of the younger person, so long as there is not a trace of psychological manipulation or lack of sexual autonomy.
And that formation of law actually makes sense, because teenagers aren't children.
Also I reckon none of the people in To Catch A Predator were actually imprisoned.
Why do you reckon that? Lots of them have been given sentences as long as six or seven years. Did you ever see the rabbi who lost it more than anybody else in the history of the series? He got a six year sentence. Others have too.Quote:

Actually UM, I believe that 14 is the legal age of consent as long as the person that they're having sex with is less than 2 years older than them. Still, I'm too old to notice either of them as cute in anything other than a little kid way.
