I liked the mummy movies Accurate or not, very entertaining to me.
A third one? Well they obviously won't make it accurate after all the prequels...

My main problem was the first one was an action (mummy blaster) romance (hero/librarian) horror (mummy taking organs) and comedy (wisecracks every 2 minutes) not to mention the total historical inaccuracy. I mean, sure, it's a mummy movie, but the City of the Dead was way off from any sort of architectural semblance to Egypt. The heiroglyphics were also totally made up and the Book of the Dead and the Book of Ra were complete nonsense in terms of Egyptian decoratives and language. Plus, they didn't even write in books, as papyrus was the only writing medium of that time and the only way to efficiently store it was in scrolls.

So I don't sound like a whiner, this is what I would have liked to have seen:

Doing away with the opening scene explaining the whole plot, and making it historically accurate. The treasure hunters would stay the same, Americans and all, but there would be more diversity with the animated creatures. You could do something cooler and deeper, as in the stone guardians were put there to keep the mummies in, and once the humans awaken the mummy the statues also awaken, but equally hate the humans and also try to kill them. I would do away with the wisecracks, the Book of the Dead and the Book of Ra.
The librarian would be played by a different actor, the Plagues of the Bible would not happen again (for no specific reason, I have no idea why the filmmakers thought that was relevant) and the Mummy would not think the Librarian looked like his old girlfriend. I leave the overall plot up for correction.

      Sorry if I ranted.

Has anyone heard of a film called transmorphers? basicaly it is a copy of tranformers except it's us fight back against them. It's a good idea execept they managed to turn it into a really cheesy soap. And the acting was so crap.

Another film that this company made was Snake on a Train. No not plane (which is a really good film) train which is exactly the same

      a soap with snakes.

The SouthPark Movie. The whole cartoon is terrible and I think sucks. I would never watch it and if when I have kids they won't watch it either.

If a film is in black and white it doesn't make it "crappy", it shows you as a narrow minded fail.

It isn't based in English speaking countries, so the fact that they talked in just accented english was lucky for you. I assume you wanted fluent american accents or suchlike.

Yes it did. It was following the story of the predator ship and the predators after they left earth, and the subsequent crashing due to the chestburster-predalien. So, in fact it was a direct continuation from the first movie.

And both moies are in modern day, and both fit so perfectly. The difference in style being one concerns a team of scientists and military in the north pole, and the other concerns a highly rural american small community. you fail.

Define point here. It has no deeper meaning, but I fon't think a movie requires that to be entertaining or good.

So you would have rather the alien just leave them due to the taboo of killing babies, ok. Sure. Because the alien in the hypothetical storyline gives a fuck about killing children.

If you are seriously judging how good a movie is by how famous the actors are, just die.

Movies I don't like? It would be easier to to start a thread called "You name a movie and I'll tell you why it sucked"

Anyone ever see League of Extraordinary Gentlemen or whatever? It had Sean Connery and that guy from that one vampire movie and.. some other famous people. My god, it was shockingly bad. SHOCKINGLY. I was speechless. I would have stormed out of the theater, but I was too rooted to my seat with shock.

I'm sorry, what? So you think a movie is crappy because it's not in color and also because you can't understand the language? Wow. I don't even know what to say. -15 points.

I also disliked Pirates 3 to a surprising extreme.

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut is one of my favorite movies. The music is so well written (they got robbed at the Oscars), and it was a critical success overall. I still think it is funny, but seriously, even just as a musical it is amazing. Matt Stone and Trey Parker are geniuses (particularly Trey Parker).

I can see how people might not like the first couple of seasons of the show, but around five they really found their niche (and they have only gotten better), and it is so much more than most people give them credit for. To each his or her own of course, but there is no question it is one of the best written shows on television.

Yeah, I think South Park is awesome. You really gotta watch some of the top episodes. I started out watching those, and I was able to appreciate the show as a whole very quickly.

I find that many of the people who don't like South Park are just offended by it. Meh. If you can't laugh at yourself or at your values, then there's not much hope for you.

Haha, that reminds me. One of my old roommates, an Indian girl, hated The Simpsons because she felt offended that they had an Indian guy as one of their characters.

Oh man! I liked Talledega Nights. I suppose I just need a jaw-droppingly moronic movie to watch now and again. It just cracks me up. I love the part when he's praying to Baby Jesus.

      I love that movie.

Oh, and Jason Flemyng... There's just something about a gentleman that I find strangely attractive.

As did I. If you notice at the end, the main character is stuck in the middle of nowhere with no way to get out! Made me laugh...
