In February, Activision announced they're making an expansion to Guitar Hero 3 with songs from Aerosmith/bands associated w/ Aerosmith in June 2008.

This is going to be sweet! You'll be able to play as legendary guitarist Joe Perry, and you'll get to play in places like the high school the band went to all the way up to the 2001 Super Bowl Halftime Show!

As a promotion, Aerosmith released a re-recorded version of Dream On for Guitar Hero 3 on Xbox Live/ Playstation Store. Here's the vid: (Love how this version made Steven Tyler sound more like Steven Tyler)


Anyways, I can't wait to get this! Aerosmith is my favorite band of all time, and they deserve this honor.

Look, GH3 came out this holiday. Slow down on the fucking guitar hero stuff. I like guitar hero, but there's no way I'm going to be paying full retail for another group of songs. Some people don't like Aerosmith, what about them? If Activision was smart, they'd spend more time, and try to aquire liscenses for a few more bands. Aerosmith is good, but not good enough to have a $70.00 expansion for an already "beat the dead horse" franchise.

Also, I heard rumors of 2 other 1-band Guitar Hero expansions. I remember one of them is Metallica, but I don't remember the other one.
