Clemens Vs. McNamee, Who's telling the truth?

I love my baseball and I have been following this scandal in depth and today is what seemed to be the pinnacle as far as testimonies go. It all started With the release of the infamous “Mitchell Report” which disclosed the names of around 80 baseball players all to have allegedly taken steroids at one point or another in their career. This is where Brian McNamee accused Clemens of using performance enhancing drugs between the years of 1998 and 2001 with the blue jays and the Yankees. Clemens as arguably the biggest superstar on that report and it shattered everything he had worked for throughout his career.

Understandingly Clemens would be made either way if he took roids or not. He claims he never took steroids in his career and thus we have him trying to clear his name from that list and to salvage what’s left of his career ruined by this report and Brian McNamee.

Today they both attended a congressional hearing under oath which means if they lie they could be charged for perjury and be sentenced to jail time. I must say though, To me it seems that there both are lying in some parts and both truthful in some parts. The thing that struck me as odd was how nervous Clemens was, it was almost like he was trying to hide something. He also contradicted himself when he said he hadn't discussed roids with Andy Pettitte which pettette's wife said that they did have a conversation.

Brian McNamee just seems like a tool out too exploit players. I also think he is not telling the truth in most cases. The fact that he has kept syringes that Clemens allegedly used is just plain disturbing.

To be honest with you I think Clemens is guilty of taking roids at one point or another in his career. Although I idolized this his testimony just seems full of holes and I don't think it will hold up. Him going under oath though shows that he has balls no matter how you look at it.

What do you guys think of it?

I should be floating, but I'm weighted by thinking

I think congress has a lot of more important issues to be concerned about.

      Seconded.

      They don't know that, though.

If it were up to me, every congressperson involved in the hearings would be ousted from office and promptly replaced. Their behavior would suggest to me that they hold these hearings purely for the hell of it, when there are so many other vital issues that they've purposefully ignored. Any representative that would treat the American public with such disrespect doesn't deserve his office.

That said, I think Clemens is lying. Not that lying under oath to save your skin isn't courageous or anything...*sarcasm*
