Thread: Half Blood Prince

I know that it's not coming out for awhile yet...but I'm really really excited to see this movie!!! I mean, Harry and Ginny and Ron and Lavender Ohhh and they are FINALLY bringing quidditch back! It's about effing time.

And it looks like they finally are getting Malfoy's hair right again, wth was up with that skater look. It should be all slicked back like his daddys. Though I wish Harry's hair was longer...booo hiss booo it's still not "untidy" enough. I wish they made it the same as it was in the 3rd movie. That's when he looked the best.

I can't believe they are making the 6th movie already... seems like just yesterday I was seeing SS in the theater... my how time flies! Can't wait for this movie!

If it continues the trend of the films getting better and better each time I'm sold.

Looking forward to the creepy pensieve memory of Voldemort's childhood and parentage, which was exceptionally dark and cinematicky in the book. The inbred snake fella in particular.

I agree. If it were up to me these movies would all be like 4 hours long. I know they can't do that for theaters...but I think they should at least have lots of extras with tons of unseen footage and stuff on the DVDs.

It's interesting how they have Ron trying out as Keeper in this movie, when all that stuff actually happened in Order of the Phoenix. But I guess it works, since that was left out of the last movie, and Ron's still got terrible nerves as Keeper in HBP.

Let's talk casting for new characters!

Horace Slughorn --> Jim Broadbent (I imagined someone fatter but I bet he gains weight or wears extra fat or something but I think he'll be good)

Lavender Brown --> Jessie Cave (We already discussed her a tad, but this is pretty much how I imagined Lavender, maybe a little less pretty than this girl)

Narcissa Malfoy --> Helen McCrory (Read that she was originally cast as Bellatrix Lestrange but got pregnant or something so the role went to Helena Bonham Carter instead, thankfully...but I imagined Narcissa to be a prettier blonde)

Ralph Fiennes nephew is playing the child Voldemort, should be interesting.

She's got a sort of withdrawn, vaguely sneering look to her, which is pretty much how I imagined her in the books. Not hardcore evil looking, which is good for the last book/film.

Yeah, but they say she has a nasty look on her face, but is supposed to be pretty.

Remember Harry thinks something like, "She would be decent looking if it didn't look like she was smelling something nasty "
