lol oh yeah.. I imagined Sirius Black just like Snape, but with less nose and more charm.

      such a disappointment

      ---

yeah... the 5th movie sucked in content and plot

The worst...heh, not sure where to start. The student actors are, for the majority, not very good at their characters, in my opinion. Except Emma playing Hermione, as was already mentioned. She carries over the emotions like frustration and whatnot that Hermione seems to constantly have in the books quite well on screen.

Though now that I think about it and having read the above, I do suppose aside from the horrible Dumbledore, that it is indeed apparently the directing of the 5th movie that made it so horrible.
      Oh, right. Snape is perfect.

Emma Watson.... eh, not so much. Though she acts just like Hermione should, shes too hot. The difference from her from how she normally looked to the Yule ball was supposed to be a huge change, and she just looked a bit hotter. She was supposed to be unrecognizable. But yeah, out of the three she was probably the best.

Agree Grod, the ball should have been quite a transformation for her... I was disappointed. :'(

Yeah, she was closest to the Hermoine I imagined in the first movie with the poofy hair and general messyness. Her transformation began quite soon after that, way before the ball. *sigh* I suppose the market must have its sex appeal. I also didn't really like how they started wearing "normal" clothes after the first one or two movies. Took away a lot of the fantasy.

Instead of "normal clothes", they could not use clothes at all. At least then the films would be worth watching.

      ^^

Mes, I agree about the normal clothes and Hermione's "look" - it all changed after the second movie. Alfonso Cuaron kinda took it upon himself to change that about the movies. Never anywhere in the books was there mention of the students wearing Muggle clothes at Hogwarts, other than when they were going home for the holidays.

I remember when I first saw the 3rd movie I was like WTF, but later I fell in love with it. Think how boring it would have gotten if Chris Columbus had directed ALL 7 MOVIES. I love Oldman as Black, even though he doesn't look like how I expected, I think he's a fantastic actor. I just don't like the new Dumbledore, like I said before. OH and one other thing.. what in the hell happened to Flitwick? I mean, who decided he should be young again with a chili-bowl 'do?

I think Gambon was actually very good in the third movie. He was funny. Like when Harry and Hermione returned and said we did it sir! And he was like, did what? He sucked in the fourth and wasn't too bad in the fifth.
