I agree with everything you said, Merlock. I think the biggest tragedy was their terrible casting of the second Dumbledore, but perhaps it's not the actor who is to blame. I also desperately want Harry Potter to be taller, just so he could be at least a little bit physically threatening during battles.

Out of the regular cast, who do you think is the worst and who is the best? Unfortunately, I think Harry might be in the worst group for me. The way he portrays anger is just dumb. There's something about his voice that makes it seem like he's really straining to get the emotions across.

Heh, I would puke if Shamalan did the 7th movie. That dude started off awesome but now has a string of flops at the box office. At the end of the book he might be like, "And then they all realized that none of it was real..."

Best: I'd have to say Professor McGonagall... she not only looks exactly how I pictured her but she's a great actress too. Really carries the role well

Worst: Sirius Black. He looks nothing(what were they thinking?)like how he should look, and his acting is poor, and seems a bit forced, to say the least.

Ooh, I definitely agree with you there! Thank goodness for McGonagall. I hope she has more scenes in the next one.

try to watch it with brazilian speech. it makes the acting seem even dumper. It's as if they translated it without watching the movie first.


Harry is sooo dumb. Hermione is the best actress there, imho. Second one is McGonnagal

I just remembered, my Sri Lankan friend said when he visits there they have these terrible versions of the HP movies on like a 1,000 dollar budget.... and they blazed through each one in like a few weeks. I don't know if he was lying but if not be thankful for what we have, lol.

Aye, McGonagall is played quite well. Though I prefer Snape. Rickman pretty much portrays him perfectly, just like Harris did great justice to Dumbledore.

The worst...heh, not sure where to start. The student actors are, for the majority, not very good at their characters, in my opinion. Except Emma playing Hermione, as was already mentioned. She carries over the emotions like frustration and whatnot that Hermione seems to constantly have in the books quite well on screen.

Though now that I think about it and having read the above, I do suppose aside from the horrible Dumbledore, that it is indeed apparently the directing of the 5th movie that made it so horrible.

lol oh yeah.. I imagined Sirius Black just like Snape, but with less nose and more charm.
