Some do most don't. Some have endings that will piss off a dedicated fan. And some end it rather nicely tying up the loose ends. Just depends on what you watch.

Yes the Live Action death note is not actually half bad, did a pretty good job on staying with the story to an extent. Still prefer the anime of course. It was a pretty big hit in Japan however.

Not ONLY did I catch another Haruhi refrence in Episode 4, I also caught a Death Note refrence! I feel special :3

Edit: Make that 2 Haruhi refrences.

Edit2: I could be wrong, but there might possibly be a 3rd refrence. At the very end one of the post cards is talking about putting her hair into a ponytail, and in Haruhi, Kyon told Haruhi that he likes girls with ponytails and the girl in Lucky Star starts to complain about it or something....I could be wrong though.

It's amazing so far. Incredible animation and a good story!
And another thing I actually like about it, (believe it or not :V) is that there is NO ecchi/pantyshots in it!

That was the reason why I hated Popotan so much, there was sooooo much ecchi/pantyshots/boobs/bathscenes that it never even bothered having a real story.

I like it. I think it's not as classy as Death Note, but I really appreciate it being relatively short. I think there was a big chunk of DN in the middle that should have been severely condensed quite frankly, but EL doesn't have that problem.
