Looks really really good but I'm not going to get it because I don't have a graphics card worth mentioning (intel family express chipset?!) and to play this game it would require a get one and I'm not going to spend £100+ just for that one game when christmas is around the corner.
Other than that I would get it.
My friend has an 8800 and can only play this game on medium quality =P It still looks damn sexy though.
Theres also been stories flying around as to if they will port this game to PS3 and perhaps (if it can support it) the 360. Crytech has made it clear that it is a possibility and will most definatly be on PS3 about a year or less after launch provided they can get a PS3 programmer. They were hiring the last time I checked.
It won't look as good on the PS3 or 360 though. :P
arby does your friend have an 8800GTS? I'm hoping I can run it on high graphics and maybe a few options on very high with my 8800GT. I'll find out tomorrow I guess.
But I'm actually most impressed by the CryEngine2 that they used to make the game. There's a demo of how easy it is to use to build your own games on game trailers.
Its 8800 something. But don't worry, it will blow any other game out of the water.
This graphics are amazing. I just played the beginning of it. I have it set to DX10 and all settings on high with no antialiasing (best is "very high") and it doesn't lag... when I'm not fighting or not looking at the ocean...
Sigh it looks like I'll have to play on DX9 and/or set some stuff to medium. It's funny how last computer strained to run anything with it's integrated gfx and now it feels like I still can't run games smoothly with the newest technology. Nothing changes...
I like the editor some days. I'm busy figuring out how to make maps for it so i can make machinima movies.:banana: Just had some fun spawning AI on my built mini island map and killing them, buncha n00bs the AI are, cool nuke gun too.
