      Cool Anybody Here Like Stargate?

      I absolutely love Stargate and just have to know if there are any other Fan boys/girls here on the forum!

      I thought the film was mediocre.

      I have no idea why they decided to do all this other stuff based on such an inept film. Needless to say I don't have much interest in watching it.

      To be honest, he was just stating an opinion on the show.

      I for one, found the show alright but lost interest after the first few series.

      Stargate SG-1 ran for a whopping 10 seasons... Atlantis is starting it's 4th soon... Two movies are on the way... a new series is in the works called Stargate Universe.. a new stargate MMORPG is in development... its quite a franchise they've built out of that movie...

      I didn't say Stargate was crap, I just put forward my opinion that it was surprising that a franchise be borne from such a forgettable film. And I'm not the only one that shares this opinion: link.

      Apparently Stargate Universe deals with the 9th cheveron and will open up a whole new "universe" for fans...

      If you want Atlantis to get interesting it's probably gonna take on a completly different feel this upcoming season with Amanda Tapping joining to lead the expedition!!

      I don't mind a bit of Stargate myself. I watch what's on TV now and then, but I sorta stopped watching religiously after the fourth or fifth season, but I've been meaning to borrow the box sets from my friend because he's an enormous fan.

      Personally I have no real qualms with the movie, maybe I'm just a visual guy.

      oh yes i like it. Shame SG-1 ended but i like Atlantis to so it's ok. Unfortunatly i'm in the Uk so it's going to be around one-two months after it starts in the Us that we get it here.

      I know right? They should have shown them at the same time! Half the fans had downloaded the episodes by the time in aired in the US. No wonder it had lower ratings.

      The first two episodes of Atlantis season 4 are already out on the internet now too! It's crazy...
