People seem to think it's a big deal that they didn't get those two back, but frankly, I don't see what the problem is. Both were quite replaceable. D'arcy is a basist. She isn't a fantastic basist, she isn't an amazing basist... she's a basist, and quite replaceable. It's not like they're losing Billy Shehan or anything

. And James Iha, while I USED to think he was kind of important and central to the band, really wasn't that much. Have you listened to his solo album? It's j-pop scat!
The creative force was Billy, and Jimmy Chamberlain is definitely an amazing drummer (and I'm really glad he's back). I think they stand a chance, if they can hold it together. I wish they wrote another song like Soma.
