when TBC came out, our guild-chat was swamped with dings every 5 minutes as people rolled and levelled Belfs

I've seen 5 million billion dudes play this game at the internet place that I go to in Russia and I really want to play it now.

Haha. I love that. I know what you mean though.

I played on and off until the expansion. No way in hell im paying 15$ a month AND have to pay 50$ for the expansion.

Outlands VC glitch

Nearly 57. Meh.

I just want to get the fuck into Outland. Also, I FINALLY gathered my 30 Alterac Valley, Athari Basin and Warsong Gulch marks, so I can get my Black War Tiger epic mount.

I bought The Burning Crusade, but quit before I ever really got to go to the Outlands. Arghh... 50 bucks wasted.

WoW is so gay. If you want the original mmorpg come join us on EQ. Pfft, freaking noob. I bet you think train was originated from WoW too, hahaha. Train was a term used while most of the WoW players (children) were still in diapers. There are two kinds of mmorpg players, those who play (or play in conjunction with) Everquest, and those who do not.

EQ is da best and joo can't say anything moreabout it. People leave EQ and go to other games sometimes expecting it to be as great as when they began EQ, but nothing ever will be. EQ was, and is, the best MMO ever!

I wouldn't recommend starting out in EQ anymore though...around a year and a half ago new people stopped playing the game (because of that DAMN WOW) and it is increasingly hard to find noobs to the game to play with. I hate blizzard! Just because it is the newest game people assume WOW is the best one, but it is completely not. I will probably join a new MMORPG after I am done with college and have a stable job...that I can afford time with to play. Even though WOW came out 3 years ago, EQ was still able to get new players (due to good reviews from friends i'm sure).

What I will compromise to say is this.

EQ = the best game ever!
Runescape = the best game for broke asses ever!
WoW = the best game to start playing right now, especially if your low on time since leveling in the crap game is so easy.

I never even heard of that lol. I may have to check it out...but I probably will be waiting about 8 years beforeI start playing mmo's hardcore ever again. And my definition of hard core is far below other peoples definitions hehe.

I have a friend who can play for the better part of a day, but for me hard-core would be about 2 hours a day, and I don't even want to do that.

Lol hardcore to me means logging in every day X.X

I play Guild Wars for the simple reason that it's free... I realise that WoW may be better but I don't care because my way I have money for other things

Besides, gw is a good game and pretty addictive - and you can MAP TRAVEL... that means clicking on the town that you want to get to and getting teleported there... saves a helluva lot of time :p Unfortunately we don't have mounts

Do they have running in WoW? That's one of my favourite aspects of gw.

Okay. I'm really confused. You have to pay some sort of monthly fee for WoW? What is that? And why doesn't Guild Wars have such a fee?

I think guild wars is free in the same sense that a lot of consol games are "online." You can only be around a limited amount of people at a time.


Better explaination... Guild wars is only online, it is not an MMO. WoW is online also, but isn't free because it actually is a MMO

MMO stands for massively multiplayer online (usually followed by role playing game, or RPG).

Impressive, grasshoppa! But Horde or Alliance? I have a 70 Troll hunter and other Horde characters (yeah, no allies for me) but, I only play with my Troll now working hard to full him of epic stuff.
