Where did you hear that? Blizzard announced a long time ago, that StarCraft Ghost is on hold, and they'll announce when they start it again. Also, Ghost is an Xbox game, StarCraft 2 is a PC game.

Yah... Dont think that will happen, the game was completely cancelled a while ago, although it would be nice...

Bah, they sounded much cooler in SC1.

I think they caught the right audio quite well. The zealot "My life for Aiur" is a bit weird though. He's using too much time saying "Aiur".

Well, I saw somewhere that it's supposed to be released on August 08' (some website that was preselling it). That will give me plenty of time to save up some money and do a major upgrade for my computer!

I wonder if it'll be using Direct X 10...

I think I may have to buy a new computer just for that... (And Spore, but that's another matter). "Wow" doesn't even begin to cover my feelings at seeing this!

So, from all the responses in this thread... I think it's safe to say we need to make a DV clan when the game comes out.

Tyrantt, StarCraft II won't be utilizing the effects that can be achieved with DirectX10, however, it will still run better if run on DirectX10, just like any other 3D game.

And nobody knows when it is to be realeased. It's done when it's done :p

Oh well, I'll still have to buy a DirectX10 card within a year from now... just 'cause my card is old.

I found Fifa 2005, Vice city, but couldn't find starcraft... it must have been lost quite a few years back. Damn. Well, maybe I'll stop by wal-mart someday and try to find it at the bargain bin.

they still have it in video game stores in the mall (at least in canada they do)

My CD was so scratched up that it couldn't install itself on my computer and I couldn't play either. Thats why i originally stopped playing XD

But now i just snatched a torrent, punched in my CD key to install it then inserted the crapped up CD for CD verification and it works! =O

The thing i can't believe is how many games that are still kicking from -what is it? - like 8 years ago. Do you guys remember these?

Protect bob - one dude is bob who is a civ. You have to run away from a bunch of monsters and around the map while your teammates build stuff to save you.

EVOLVES - The classic mass game. 3 at the top and 3 at the bottom. 2 science vessels dispense your guys.

Sunken Defense - use sunken colonies to prevent passage.

___ Defense - see above

Cat and Mouse- If you don't remember the name, you won't remember the game XD

And so many friggin others.. omg its awesome...

I loved the "Bound" games best, but man they could get frustrating! And I also liked Protect Bob.

And then there's always the classic "clicking on the unit to see what else it would say"... or make the critters explode.

So, I finally bought myself a copy of Starcraft with the Broodwars expansion. Ahhh... and it plays as great as it did back in the day!

Anyway, I've been playing it every now and then lately. Are any of you still playing it? My name on battle.net is "Oneironaut" (sorry Oneironaut and Oneironaught... I had to copycat that s/n. It's too cool)
