Note: Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but it goes into the line of &#39;entertainment&#39;. I don&#39;t think there&#39;s a &#39;LD promotion forum&#39; or anything lol :yumdumdoodledum: . I have been working on a movie made with the game &#39;the Movies&#39;. It will be uploaded onto that website too (I&#39;ll give you the link when It&#39;s done). The story goes like this: a psychiatrist named Floydd has a Lucid Dream (without even knowing it existed, I might add) and he looks into it. He eventually moves onto Spirit guides and he talks to one, but then later, a schizophrenic (who was one of Floydd&#39;s patients) goes to his house and sets his apartment light. Floydd wakes up in the middle of a LD and he tries to escape the burning building. I&#39;m not gonna reveal what happens next, but there are a few twists and turns in it. I hope to make the movie a bit over 30 minutes. The uncut footage was 31 minutes and 9 seconds or something but I hope to cut it down as much as possible (mostly to fit the special effects lol). I hope to release it on Sunday if I get all the Voice Over&#39;s I need (I&#39;m gonna be hiring Voice actors soon. I know a couple that could be willing to help out If you wanna be in the movie, you only need to ask me &#39;either by e-mail, skype or MSN) and I&#39;ll send you a sample line and I&#39;ll see what role you&#39;re suited for. Of course, that isn&#39;t the reason why I created this thread. I created it so you get to know about the movie. I feel like I know lots about LDing so I hope to put some of what I&#39;ve learnt into this movie. There might be a delay in the release date though. It depends on if all the VO&#39;s are sent to me soon enough. So I hope you stick around for the movie to be released. Wow. That's a rather good idea. Although, since it'll probably be about 25 minutes long or something, so it'll be a big wmv file to host. Also, it's not entirely a documentary. In one part it explains it all, but after that then it goes into the story a bit more and the twist near the end will sort of put it off the Lucid Dreaming topic, but I suppose if it is good enough, then it can be hosted on DV.

Haha, that's a fun game. I really liked it... The only thing I found extremely annoying is there's a maximum limit to how many people you can hire, so after you have a huge studio, you start running out of either actors or cameramen.... and then have to stat firing writers, or vice versa. Another thing is that I never could get actors to get to know each other more... I mean, you put two people at a bar, a place where people sit and talk, and the actors feel awkward... wtf kind of actors are those??? Anyway, the movie editing seemed really in-depth, but I never felt like spending too much time to do anything with it... I'm really looking forward to see how your big hit is going to turn out.

[/b] I think there&#39;s a cheat on one of the fansites where when you start a game, LOTS pf people line up outside each building that involves employing (eg. Stunt School, Science lab, scriptwriting office etc). I remember one time when I got a bit bored, so I got every single person in my studio that I employed for anything and made them all actors lol. However, the money I had dropped REALLY fast lol. These days people like modders (probably because they think they&#39;re the next expansion because the game wasn&#39;t that successful). You&#39;ll see a lot of movie on the top of their charts that have mods galore in them. I&#39;m staying cool with mods and just using some overlays, music, sound effects etc from www.8eyedbaby.com (one of the biggest fansites for the Movies lol). Here&#39;s a little update: I might have to push the release date forward a bit because of that fact that I only have 2 people doing VO&#39;s (including me) and I need LOTS more for the movie. Note: Sorry for the double-post Here&#39;s an update on the movie: I&#39;ve been working on the movie yesterday and I&#39;ve finished the subtitles of the movie, since it takes ages to do VO&#39;s, so there&#39;ll only be subtitles. I will be exporting the movie to WMV later today and release it on the Movies Online tomorrow. That&#39;s my plan, but if I can&#39;t do it today, then I&#39;ll have to push the date back a bit. sorry, I have spent quite a bit of time off dreamviews, but I'm back, and no, the movie is not done yet. However, I have a trailer for the movie uploaded onto YouTube. A couple of shots in the trailer show one of the main reasons why I called it 'Dreaming Inferno'. If you have any suggestions/tips/questions on the movie, ask here, or PM me. Thanks a lot. I hope to have a lot more special effects and stuff when I eventually 'film' the whole thing. The thing is, I had it done some time ago, but when I put it into Post Production, all the scenes and stuff swapped around, and my custom titles didn't show neither, so I'll have to re-flm it. Sadly, it's gonna be in subtitles, too. since getting Voiceovers (VO's) from their forums takes too long. I mean, there are lots of characters in the movie. It takes about 2 or 3 weeks to get all the VO's for the movie. I hope to make it as visually impressive as I can, though. I hope to have it fully done within a month, and if possible, I'll release another trailer or something. cheers, MOLLYRULZ9999 <0>
