I usually avoid playing Tetris too much. I hadn't played it in years until I bought it for my Nintendo DS. If I play a lot, I go around envisioning blocks falling and how I clear them. It can be really tiresome, because sometimes there are a lot of blocks, and thinking through the scenario takes time. I play once in a while still, but I have to be very strict; as soon as the blocks starts getting inside my head I have to stop.

A friend of mine had a Tetris addiction with his Gameboy about ten years ago. I took it and hid it. Dangerous stuff..

Anyone else with similar stories?

I used to play Tribes online .. don't know if you know the game .. it's an egoshooter where you basically have to be a pro in flying .. not like in UT or Quake, where you just stay on the ground and walk ... played it for like 5 - 8h a day well that is some time ago ...

I know exactly what you mean. Tetris is soooo addictive. That is why I don't own it at all, otherwise I'd be playing it instead of writing this. Although I can play it online, I just don't like game sites, so I don't play at home. But in school, when I have a computer, tetris is all that's on my screen.

That's a great game and while I haven't had the game systems in order to become addicted, when I play it it's often for an extended period of time.

Starcraft, however, is an addiction... and why I started playing it again now I really don't know... But I know that I need to stop when I start to dream about playing the game. For some reason those dreams aren't very exciting.

I used to play tetris for hours. Only when my game system broke down did I quit. And it was hard to get over. I even used to doodle little tetris shapes on my notebooks I missed it so much.

Ugh, don't get me started. I just downloaded it on to my cell a couple weeks ago and I can't stop. And I can feel the addiction growing. I'm a little worried.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...you're all insane...
(In a good way, mind you&#33

Ever since I first saw Tetris I thought of it as the most horribly annoying, pointless and most of all -boring- game I've ever seen or played. >.<

I wouldn't play it for any sum of money under J5000 and even then with a great resentment whilst thinking of spending that money on petitioning for banning that horrible, terrible, evil game forever!

I had my Tetris phase back when I was like 14 or so, when I had it on the original Game Boy. I don't have any handheld's now, though, so if I'm gaming, it's either on a console or the PC. I think my Tetris days are over though. I've had my fun.

I don't think I've ever been addicted to a game more than Einhander for the PlayStation. Shit, that game was so fast and insane. I'd waste away a whole day on it, constantly.

My girlfriend was playing on my phone so much that it would kill my battery, so she downloaded it on her phone and she played it so much that when she closed her eyes she would see tetris blocks falling in her vision. lol that cracked me up.

I'm wondering if I'm the only one who thinks the game sucks but the tune is awesome. Indeed, I might actually be addicted to that tune. Luckily, I suck at the game though. I love to play it when I get my hands on it, but only because of the muuuuuuuuuuuusic.

This reminds me. If anyone sees this girl, please tell her I want to marry her

That's awesome - too bad you can't see her fingers though.

I thought so too, but then I saw this.

WOW! You know, people think of accordians as a nerdy instrument (and I kinda agree), but you have no idea how hard they are to play! My grandma had one, and between the in-and-out motion, the piano keys on one side, and all the little unmarked buttons on the other side - it's confusing as hell! So you gotta give these people a lot of credit! That would be a very difficult song to play too.
