That does look pretty badass. I hope that it sucks, though, so I don't have to buy a ps3. The only games that I play are ones with great stories. Without a good story, I'm bored.

When is 12 coming out in America? End of October, isn't it?

and it comes out the 31st of oct in usa

i may end up buying a ps2 here soon to play it
and then next year when i have more money buy the ps3 and ffxiii

meh, never got into it, never will, and i will never spend that much money on a ps3

that game does look pretty amazing and pretty fun, but i would never invest that much into a PS3 just to play it hopefully the price will go down after christmas and stuff.

The PS3 is ridiculously overpriced thanks in part to BluRay. My room's probably getting a 360 and maybe a Wii.

I just got a 360 and hopefully a Wii prolly next year.

PS3 launch price (lower end model) in Japan was recently officially lowered to 49,980 yen ($429 US) but the official launch price for the US is still $499 for the basic model. I imagine if they don't drop it in the U.S. some folks might get pissed but who knows. Also they decided to include the (previously exclusive to the high end model) HDMI port on the lower end model as well.

final fantasy xiii has me sold on the playstaion 3 high end ... thats 700 about total for the game gas and console

i want to get it so much.......it seriously is going to rule, but its too pricey, maybe when it comes down in price...

As for PS3, too expensive/most of the games are crap. I won't be getting a PS3 just for this and MGS4.

As for Final Fantasy... that series is horribly overrated. The X games were fun, XII looks enjoyable but really now, there are much better RPG's out there.

XIII as a series might be interesting, but I don't like the idea of having to invest my money/time into all the series spread across all the platforms just to get the full story.

I loved VII - X but I think FFX-2 was a bit underwhelming and kind of bleh. It was a good game and all, it just wasn't what I expect from a Final Fantasy. I am psyched for FFXII and of course FFXIII. However I have concerns about both. If they were going to abandon the turn based menu style in FFXII like they have, I would have much preferred to go full action like Tales of Symphonia or Star Ocean 3. Based on the demo it seems to play a lot like FFXI, which isn't a bad thing per se, I just wonder if it will fit in well with offline RPG. As for FFXIII, I am not terribly happy about the 3 different versions of the game and the fact that each one contains different parts of the story. Once again I'll withhold my judgement until release. The trailer for the main version looks soooo badass though so I'm definitely psyched. Unfortunatly, as I've said in my favorite video game thread, I will NOT buy a PS3 for only one game.

X-2 is underrated because people expected a traditional epic FF, even though they were told from the start that is was going to be a change of style. If you ask me, the fact the world wasn't really in danger made the game much more enjoyable because it didn't bog itself down in angst.

XIII (main) is being directed/made by the FFX-2 director/team, with any luck it'll follow a similar style. The protagonist already looks like a mix between Paine and Yuna. :F

No the game is cool.. It has great gameplay the mosters are incredibly crazy ad interesting. I just like to kill things (In the game of course) I love the progression and story... but mostly the hunt lol. Ive played lots of other rpgs.... they are pretty horrible in my opinion than Final fantasy VII and on. Because of what i liek to get out of it. Final fantasy only offers the entertainment i seek. Im a Final fantasy junkie. Ill be getting it when the price drops.
