One of my friends bought Dragon Quest VIII, hes not really into single player RPG but he says that it is really good. SO i though about buying it however its 30 pounds and i dont really want to pay that much :(
Has anyone played it? if so what do you think.
And also since FFXII is also 30 pounds (will be) should i just wait for that (im a final fantasy fan but got discoraged by ffx-2 and havent played FFXI)

If you like old school RPGs...go for it....it's a lot of fun and a decent challenge
I have it. Its fun, but nothing really special. Linear story and only 4 playable characters. Its also a very slow progressing game. But it challenging and has kept me interested. In my opinion, it wouldn't be a major loss if you just waited for Final Fantasy XII( :!: )
