Okay, this one is pretty obscure in theme. |

No one I have ever met has heard of these bands. Obviously they have their own circle of fans, but I haven't met any of them. They don't quite fit any genre, but I put my best guess for the closest one to it above the video. |

To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour - William Blake
More of my friends' music - this time the genre is alternative electronica. |

ITT: Hey this is post rock, that's what obscure means right? |
|
Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
Just had my mind blown based on my co-worker's recommendation: The Paper Kites. |

All I've wanted since this thread appeared was to find a video of "A Minha Menina" by Os Mutantes. |

Astrosomnia will love you forever for posting Kate Bush! He's not active at the moment, but I'm sure he'll be back... |

StephL, I'm a huge Hawkwind fan. How did you know? Is it that I had one of their album covers for my last avatar? That's Lemmy on lead vocals on that song, by the way. He later formed Motorhead. The dancer is Stacia, and she was a major trip. Hawkwind was sort of big in Britain but pretty obscure in the U.S. |

You are dreaming right now.
I really hope so, too - Kate Bush fans are soo rare! Honestly - now I want to get to know Astrosomnia! I adore this woman as a right out genius. She started writing songs for her first album at the age of 12 and actually brought it out age 16, having private contacts over her parents. She wrote the music, the texts which are excellent, played all instruments, wrote her choreography even, with a bit of help. Always does that. |

Here's some really good but unpopular ones: |

From a quite obscure French erotic science fiction horror movie with Béatrice Dalle and Alex Descas: 'Trouble Every Day' - only for those who are hard to shock, including by tragedy. I liked it a lot, but almost couldn't take it. The first video is completely harmless, the second one has only still-shots and the music is |

When I first read the word 'obscure' in the title of the thread, the first thing that came up to my mind was this (I think Germany is filled with this genre of dark music though): |

I do know them for quite a while and love them dearly - but maybe somebody likes them under this header, too: |

Don't know if people know this band, but this song alone has helped me alot relaxing to dreaming. When it reaches the 3 minutes in, it's beautiful. |

" Hope is a waking Dream" - Aristotle
I may be in the minority that enjoys this but it definitely falls into the obscure category, some Balinese gamelan music: |
