      Text based MMO's aka MUDDs

      Anyone play these now a days? I just started something called Aardwolf....spent a shit load of time finding out how to play the game. It's something. I'm not totally new to text games either. I played Gemstone III way back when I was in my teens.

      I'm just seeing if anyone else plays it...maybe I'll switch up to what you're playing, or maybe people here can talk about all the weird text games they played before they realized "oh shit, there's more out there, but in a way less".

      Not an MMO/MUD, but i have played Dwarf Fortress, i guess it counts as text/ASCII game, it's pretty fun.

      I never played, but the topic was too interesting for me not to sneak in

      I'm wondering if those games evolved from those books which you could interact as a game? I played a few, and that actually makes me want to try Aardwolf. What's their average longevity? I bet they have pretty interesting stories considering there's no visual output ^^

      I've played Aardwolf before and have tried others. I had fun playing one but I forget the name and I don't think it was as popular as Aardwolf. I don't play them anymore. A good site though to find more is The Mud Connector | Hundreds of Free Text-Games, Reviews and More.
