Thread: Insane Clown Posse (ICP)

i love them. i listen to their music before i go to sleep and i normally have an LD that night dealing with clowns. i just heard that they are comming out with a new CD called The Calm... i cant wait

Eww, eww, eww, eww and EWW! How can you listen to that crap? I mean, I'm a rock fan, but that just plain ISN'T rock. And especially not good rock. Not to mention it's not psycologically healthy to listen to a lot of that type of music. Especially the lyrics...I mean, thoughtless and messed up!

I believe the Insane Clown Posse is actually rap. I used to listen to them when I was younger and currently don't listen to them anymore.

yeah i know. but u have to think. im not mental healthy and their kinda music calms me down. i've come a long way tho. i went from not listening to them and beatin up ppl to listening to them and calming down to a point where i didnt do anything

Look, you may feel more calm, but that doesn't make it a good thing.

What's happening is you were kind of digging yourself a hole, and then you started listening to ICP and you stopped digging. Which isn't a bad thing, either, but it's definitely not going to get you out of that hole. Sorry if that doesn't make sense, I'm not good with the whole metaphor thing.

I cannot stand ICP. I love heavy metal/rock but this band is straight-up rap. The lyrics in their songs aren't even good. None of it is thoughtful, or inspiring. It's all negitive. I refuse to feed myself that poison. But hey, whatever floats your boat

i live in that hole. it keeps me safe. i cant get hurt there trust me. i've come out of there a few times and i get hurt to h3ll and back

The lyrics they write are not inspiring at all, but they are pretty damn funny and entertaining. That's what people need to understand when they get the album, its just for fun. Its not like ICP is trying to start some worldwide musical movement or anything. They are simply entertaining their listeners and making a buck while doing it. They CAn get a bit annoying sometimes.

Personally, I think they're garbage, but whatever. I'm not forcing you not to listen to it--it's not like it's a god damn brainwashing operation everytime you want to listen.

Music can influence you, but it's not controlling you. This 'pyschological damage' Tsen is speaking of is nonsense.

It's seems that you connect with and enjoy the music, so I wouldn't stop listening if you really don't want to.

I've seen the kind of psych damage first hand. I've been there. I know the hole looks comforting, but it isn't healthy...Still, I guess whatever floats your boat. Suit yourself, I've given you my spill on the subject.
