Princess Jellyfish (I haven't read the manga, if there is one, but the anime, even though it's short, is pretty funny. Basically an Otaku girl who lives in a house with women who aren't considered to be pretty (by makeup etc.). She finds a guy who is considered hot, but he likes to cross dress. And all sorts of funny shit happens. |

I'm going to be watching Black Rock Shooter when it starts in February. The OVA was interesting, and left me wanting more, so I'm fairly excited for it. |

One Piece- Aside from the fillers the series just keeps getting better and better |

edit: nvm. |

Been watching death note these past few days. I'm really enjoying a lot as it is quite the convoluted plot and both main characters are extremely clever and quite brilliant. I'm at the part where |

So much... desire... to comment on Death Note following where you are..... Ahhhhhh. FYI, if you like the anime I'd bet you'll LOVE the manga. It makes it seem even more convoluted and amazing when it all comes together. :3 |

I watched the first four episodes of Durarara! last night, and I'm finding it unlikely that it's going to stack up very well to Baccano! While it is decent and I'll continue with it, the broken narrative seems more gimmicky in DRRR! (done for the sake of doing it and probably to be like B! rather than because it serves the story), and on the whole DRRR! seems like a pretty standard "high schoolers and supernatural shit in Tokyo" anime. It's trying to be edgy and meta, whereas B! really was beautiful and deep, and the story and style really did resonate with the themes. |

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama
That's where I stopped watching it. I knew it was coming anyway after having read a spoiler on the Internet. I'll probably pick it back up but I've already seen the last few minutes of the last episode, so I don't know if it's worth it or not. |

Well, I just finished Death Note, and I'm not sure what to think. |

Does the manga end differently than the anime? Or does it just tell it in a slightly different way with maybe a few more questions answered? |

It basically ends in the same way, but I think the way they portray it is a little more satisfying. As for more questions answered.... To be honest, it's been a few years since I either read the manga or watched the anime. What I can tell you is that the manga has a LOT more detail to everything, and will explain more that's going on per scene, it doesn't hold back at all. (Yes, the anime was holding back. |

Alright, I'll probably check it out when i get the time. Thanks |

I have officially started watching Gravitation. |

Update to my list: |

Anyone know a good site to... preview.. anime's before buying them... most sites are down and... i would really love to preview some before i buy them! |
|
I could never get into any of the big 3 (Naruto, Bleach and One Piece). I always thought they were too cliché and boring. But I didn't grow up on anime, so I guess that's understandable. I think animetake is a good site for, um, "previewing." |
|
Those are not the Big 3. If you're going for long and mainstream anime, there's also DBZ, Pokemon, Gundam Wing, Ruroni Kenshin, Inuyasha, Sailor Moon, Lupin III and YuYu Hakusho. Just to name a few. Although I'd consider none of those my favorite, as long as you're naming the big ones you can't leave them out. |

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
@Omnis, agreed. I only watched naruto because i was in school and it was cool at the time, soon as shippuden came i was like fuck that, i just watched like 100+ episodes -_- |
|
Shippuden is actually a bit cooler than the original, if only because it's more mature and they're not afraid to show a little blood. But to understand the story of shippuden you only need to watch the first 3 seasons of naruto. |
