I like anime with a good story but also some awesome shit like demon tournaments (bleach, yuyu-hakashu), assassins&samurai (kenshin, champloo), robots (android kikaider, ghost in the shell), space opera (bebop, outlaw star), giant robots (evangelion, gundam, big o, eureka 7), and post civilization (trigun, wolf's rain) |

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
There's really nowhere else to put this, |

"you will not transform this house of prayer into a house of thieves"
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: Outstanding anime. Good storyline, good characters, amazing soundtrack. And I'm not afraid to say that the laughter gets me excited. |

Yes, I loved lucky star! Probably because I have so much in common with Konata... Hah. |

I just noticed that Yumekui Merry is missing in this thread. The anime is pretty bad compared to the manga though. It's a story which is for a big part about dreams as the name suggests (Yume=Dream). In case you haven't heard of it I would strongly recommend the manga, and If you watch the anime, don't expect it to be as good as the manga. |

Well, you know the warning is generalized for violent and ecchi content as well. I felt it was just very slightly ecchi with a joke here and there at the right place. It's more that the story has some pretty harsh moments, like people dying or taking irreversible damage. In other words, not for the too faint of heart, but I know worse things. Yumekui Merry holds a nice balance of everything in relation to the story in my opinion. |

@Maeni Oh, man. Nichijou looks hilarious! (Added to the huge list of anime I'll never have enough time to watch.) |

Is anyone else reading Higanbana no Saku Yoru ni? The next series in line by Ryukishi07. :3 (Of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Umineko no Naku Koro ni.) I just got through the first story (the first eight chapters), it seems like it's got potential so far. I need to find more scanlations! |

Personally, I <3 FMA (hence my avatar) and i also enjoyed durarara. I'm not much into anime, but I enjoyed both of those. I don't, however, like bleach or naruto very much, and I haven't really watched very much of others. I saw like 2 ep. of one piece and i liked it, but i never finished it or watched anymore. |

I read the entire series of Azumanga Daioh in two days. I've never laughed harder in my entire life. Moved up to the number one spot on my list of favorite manga ever. |

I just finished up Baccano! (free in its entirety on Hulu, in the US at least), and it was excellent. The cast was sprawling and the series is only 16 episodes long, yet by the end I knew them all as distinct characters. You really have to just go along for the ride for the first two or three episodes before things start remotely falling into place. It's also the first anime I've seen that I would recommend dubbed rather than subbed. The English voice acting is solid, and works a lot better given the main setting of Prohibition Era NYC. The dialogue is also grandiose in a way that works great when voiced, but is very hard to follow in subs, and I usually have no problem with subs. |

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama
