Thread: Whats your favorite video game?

Why is WoW so taboo? Just because a lot of people play it? I really don't understand. It's just like any other game. Some people like it, some people don't, and those that do tend to play it a lot. This describes most video games.

My bad..."kart" just magically shows up between mario and 64 sometimes. I was obsessed with Wow for a few years. If there wasn't a "have to play it every single day to be the best at it", I'd probably still be playing it. And before you try to make any suggestions...NO, I cannot casually play that game. Things will go from "I just gotta get my monies worth", to "who cares about work school etc" in no time.

Shenmue II for xbox and my favorite mmorpg would be Final Fantasy XIV.

Oooh, it's a tough one between Oblivion and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. I love Oblivion, it's awesome and there's so much to do and so many ways to do it, but Legend of Zelda makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside

Oblivion was the game I strarted my gaming with and it's the game I love the most. I tried so hard to get into morrowind properly, but failed. That game was so different from what people told me it would be. At least in my eyes.

On top of that, COD4 (esp promod) used to be my fav. online game, but I played too much of it within a couple of months and it got boring.

TF2 is something I enjoy playing from time to time. All those different playing styles.

Recently I've started playing more semi-arcade racing games. Dirt 2, dirt 3, grid. Gonna pick up F1 2010 soon.


Oblivion is by far my favourite, the rest are a big blur.

People love making fun of other peoples enjoyment. Anyways....Spider-Man 2 was one of the best comic book games, pretty much the best Spider-man game ever made. (don't get it for the PC...it was a dumbed down version for the kiddies) Web swinging actually required technique to master. There were a lot of moves you could learn, and there was lots of free roam are. Also, it's the only game I played where I could pile drive someone off of the empire state building.

Final Fantasy 7 and 9, Pokemon Silver, and Cod Black Ops.

Gears of War 1 and 2. The best campaign for a shooter I've ever played, and the co-op is awesome. It's one of the rare games that I actually care about the story line and the characters. It's just such an immersive game, and I love the gothic/ horror style elements in it. The weapons are all awesome, particularly the longshot sniper, hammerburst rifle, and gnasher shotgun. It's so satisfying getting a headshot with those. The Hammerburst might even be my favorite because I love the semi-auto fire, i've gotten so fast at it, the second one of the grubs runs out of cover I pop up and unload on him RATATATATATATATA and he's brown bread.

Basically I love everything about the game, except for Dom. If you've ever played solo campaign on either game, you know what I'm talking about. He's so stupid, he'll just run out of cover towards a bunch of hostiles, and get's himself killed. Then you have to go save him before his "knock down" meter depletes, otherwise it's game over. I really hope they fix Dom-ass in Gears 3, and I hope I finally get to play a part of the campaign as Baird.

it's because of the stereotype that MMO gamers (the vocal minority, NOT the majority) have made for themselves. Be honest, the MMO community, WoW especially, is a cesspit of depravity. People are just far more willing to base their opinions on a stereotype, and assume the worst of anyone who plays it, just because of a small number of mindless e-thugs, despite the fact that clearly, the majority are decent, normal people.

Besides, you don't just see this in WoW. You see it with music and sports, especially.

My favourite game of all time was Mario 64 until Super Mario Galaxy came along I'm having trouble getting into super mario galaxy 2 though... I just feel detached from it for some reason, idk.
Halo 2 and Pokemon Blue are also up there.

My favourite games are Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2

Let's see, I play too many games... so I'll list it as series and companies. My favorite series are the X series (they're single player space 4X kinda games), the Elder Scrolls series, and... just about everything Nippon Ichi Software makes. I'm an addict, and I'll buy games just because they made or published them. >.> I've yet to find one I didn't like. Disgaea is their flagship series, and I like me a good SRPG. Everything they make has that awesome lighthearted humor about it though. The games don't even take themselves seriously, which is a nice change sometimes.

Portal/Portal 2/Myst (all) for Windows

Legend of Zelda: Wind waker (I love all of them, that's just my favourite.), Kingdom hearts2 (Same thing.), Portal2 (Haven't played Portal.) and ye old Spyro games. (The new ones suck.)
