Let me start out by saying what a HUGE letdown season 5 was, let's hope season 6 will make up for it!

Aha! I knew someone would think the same. I keep reading that it has the highest ratings and that it's been good and blah blah blah, but, seeing that as strongly as I disliked Dexter before I even started watching it, and how hooked up I became once I did, and how good it's been and how compelling and intense season 4 was, I really really wanted to like this last season, but I just couldn't care less about... the girl I don't even remember her name right now.

I didn't think season 5 was terrible, but I didn't like how they essentially resolved all conflict in the plot. There was nothing to keep me going during the off-season.

Season 3 was the worst. Season 5 tried to do something similar to season 3 (Dexter getting a friend) and it worked out quite well I think. It's a shame that it ended how it ended.

Her name was Lumen.

I think it was the worst of the first 4, but way better than 5. I didn't feel anything for Lumen, though perhaps it had something to do with the actress (I thought she was really bad), and I felt the love story was unecessary and cheesy.
